    Primal Rage - Rage in the City (Chaos' theme) Arcade version. This soundtrack slaps more than the Sega Genesis version did, I cannot fault it though, the Sega Genesis had such a lousy audio chip that made it a pain for anyone to work with.

    Am I the only one who thinks Chrysalis was scary in this episode? I mean yeah it was funny when she snapped at Mean Twilight Sparkle for disobeying her demands, but my goodness, I would not want to be one of them, actually even being used by Chrysalis at the threat of execution, would be humiliating for me.

      Chrysalis has quite a nasty temper, I've made a point she would be the individual I'd fear most if I were in that fictional world. Not joking, I know other stories have villains who were more cruel than her, but Chrysalis straight up threatened to murder her subjects if they did not obey, and while the show did a good job showing her cruelty and reminding viewers evil is a problem, if I were in that world being threatened by her, I'd be brought to tears because of it.

    I got one of these shirts. Yup, you know who I'd be loyal to if I were a Pony in Equestria. :) Princess Luna and Celestia are both great Princesses, I'd like to be a friend of both if I were in that fictional world. However Luna is worth being loyal to, she is less experienced than Celestia as a Ruler but that does not make her unworthy of friendship.

    I cannot say I am in agreement with the author of that thread you were in saying the School of Friendship is a bad concept in My Little Pony, though it is an old topic, still relevant on the basis of its importance in my opinion. Friendship can be both taught and learned, it's nuanced, people need to be taught how to communicate with each other thoughtfully and respectfully for a healthy or meaningful friendship to happen, so on that principle I think at a concept level it works. It probably wasn't well thought out, I need to rewatch the show to find out, however I think there can be a valid case for its existence and it did contribute to reforming Starlight Glimmer in the show.

      I think we agree on more points than we disagree on

      I also think something like the School of Friendship makes a lot of sense especially for the show FiM.

      My only argument which you don't seem to share is that: When The School of Friendship would have been it's own show/movies then there would have much more time and opportunities to develop the newly characters and old characters (not only the main six). 

      I agree the impact of Starlight was great. This also would have been need to show more. Just like her relationship with Trixie, Maud, Sunburst etc. I like Starlight a lot. Like I also commented the Pillars .. we needed more about them. 

      Spike needed much more time at the end. Granted he got one episode in which got his wings and one more he got in close friendship/relationship with Gabbi. We needed some more of this. The interaction with smolder and and him have far too few.

      CMC also a huge part of FiM they also deserved more time. When School of Friendship SoF would have been it's own thing they could have gotten more time and development as tutors.

      I see what you mean, that is a very good point you make. 

      As a matter of fact Warner did something like this with DCAU, where they divided stories about each character into their own show, Superman, Batman, Static Shock and The Zeta Project. They did this because there would not be enough screen time to do them all at once throughout their own series run. 

      Hasbro should have done something like this with Friendship is Magic, School of Friendship could've been done in Ponyverse without Equestria Girls being involved. This would've allowed the show to go into more detail about background character arcs without it feeling rushed, and it would have done zero to hurt that universe overall.

    Another way they could have addressed the insufficient story time for the characters is more episodes, but the show would have ended up carrying on for longer, perhaps longer than some people were comfortable with and the show had to end some time. Considering they spent so much time world building it did make sense more characters would be added over time, so I don't feel like the argument against more background characters holds up, it would get very boring if we had nothing but stories of Mane Six over and over, something needed to change to address that monotony, but perhaps the execution of that was not very good. I would say I liked the introduction of Mean Six though, seeing them get under Queen Chrysalis skin was hilarious as you can see she was losing her patience with Mean Twilight Sparkle. So season 8 of the show had its good moments in my opinion.

      This was from episode Putting Your Hoof Down, basically Angel was being ungrateful for the food Fluttershy gave him, she gave Angel a bowl of salad, and Angel kept demanding different each time, after a whole episode of being messed about she was finally done with it and gave him the stare to shut him up. It was funny, also I think tough love was necessary.

    If her mother does not stop and apologize, then that is likely to be the case. Family breakups suck, but they are inevitable in situations like this one.

    I agree I can say the same for Shadow the Hedgehog's game, the game had serious problems in the most lenient criticism of its design, but it had bangers in its OST like Lost Impact, Lava Shelter, The Ark and Lethal Highway.

    I don't like arguments, however I agree with your point, Hippity Hoppity needs to fight back, tell her mother how it is, not brush this issue under the carpet. Rudeness does need to be called out on.

    The red emerald portion of this track End of the World from Sonic 06 is my favourite part, it goes hard with serious drum n bass, fitting for Shadow's level, too bad the game was broken because this part would be genuinely epic otherwise.

    If I had the will and the time to do it, it is literally the only grimdark MLP fan fiction I'd make. But its purpose would not be to scare people, rather it would be to show how trigger happy humans are when it comes to conflict. It would satire the incompetence of humans, I could add lines for Queen Chrysalis to say as she addresses her Changeling horde who are taking the form of human for cover "They're all too easy to deceive, Ponies in Equestria put up a better fight than them clowns, if I had a bit for every incompetent fool I have managed to trick into destroying themselves here, I'd be richer than anypony in Equestria."

    I wished I had the motivation, I'd like to write a grimdark fan fiction of MLP, where Queen Chrysalis conquers the human world.

    If I had the time and desire to do it, I'd be tempted to write a darker version of Equestria Girls in a fan fiction, add Chrysalis in it, and have it involve a plot where she attacked humans. I'd do that for the purposes of showing just how outmatched humans would be in a situation like that, and really it's the only edgy MLP story I'd consider making, other than that I would not make a grimdark story. Chrysalis does not need a complex with hypersonic missiles to get the job done, her shapeshifting abilities would allow her to perform stealth operations where she could have people in positions of power set up for things they did not even do, and in a scenario where that led to World War 3, she would have gotten what she wanted, then she escapes back to Equestria to avoid the consequences.

    The world maps between the video game Primal Rage and Equestria on MLP FIM which are entirely different fictions, but their maps look similar It took me this long to notice this? I still have the cartridge on Sega Genesis of Primal Rage, good game by the way, difficult but fun, there's also a PC version of this game. But these worlds both have land masses divided into 3 main parts over a vast ocean. It is kind of funny to think about considering these fictions have nothing to do with each other, makes you wonder what prehistoric Equestria would have been like.

    Daydreaming about my MLP fanfic pre rebirth as a ghost in the Bardo. Princess Luna (living but in astral projection form) says: "You want to be a Pegasi?" Me: "Yeah, so? who cares? if others think this is foolish that is their problem, but this is not their choice to make, I know it's an unfamiliar world but at the same time, it's something different and interesting, what's an adventure without the challenge? I've had my time as a human, a new experience would be welcome."
