    Haven't been really active in a while and I've spent the last three or so years really cleaning up my act and improving as a person so I want to send out general apologys if the bad attitude I used to display at times ever hurt or offended anyone.

    All consumer fireworks have been legalized at the state level in Iowa and my city and county choose to honor the repeal and allow them around the appropriate holidays. It's a big milestone and it's gonna make it a fun 4th this year.

      My city basically had that going because it's like 45min from a discount fireworks store right on the MO border.

      There was largely an unspoken "preferably stay outside city limits and don't cause trouble and we'll pretend we didn't see or hear any"

      They're officially legal on paper now, though and fireworks sellers are already discussing getting permits to open temporary stores and stalls during the window in which they can be sold every year.

    Spend over two hours playing Rise of Nations to get the hang of it (played on a big map in single-game mode) and wound up building a massive civilization with a huge army and didn't even need it because I beat the CPU via building more Wonders.

      It's even worse because bringing up LEGAL porn found in his stuff only dilutes the story and distracts from how horrible his crime of seeking out real-life child porn was.
