I went over to a mates place on the weekend, he was playing COD Black Ops II campaign. it was a mission that had the option to hack an AGR and use if to your advantage. eventually all of the enemies were dead and the team following the player piled into the room. one soldier in particular, stood in one general spot the AGR was heading, the small tracked robotic device proceeded to ram into the soldiers leg, killing him immediately. my mate and I both looked at each other and burst out laughing at how a small machine just randomly rolled into a teammate and killed him. from now on, I've taken to calling them AGROs
look at the racing games of today; realistic cars, nice closed off race tracks, high performance cars always win. well, Flatout 2 grabs all of that, rolls it up into a ball and throws it out the window.
Gameplay-The biggest con with real cars in games is that they can't be destroyed due to car companies not wanting their cars to break, Flatout 2 brings back real car look-alikes but gives them names like 'Shaker' 'Venom' 'Rocket'. these cars are highly destructible, as in smash smash boom boom and their lost parts will scatter across the track. speaking of tracks, the environment is also highly destructible, you can use the pieces of broken environment to make your opponents crash into them, giving you a good lead. the damage is very realistic, if you crash your car hard enough, you will fling your driver out the windshield and onto the track.
Graphics-For a game of its time, the graphics are amazing and show high detailed car crashes and explosions. its the way I like the look of my games, not too realistic you could touch it but not too cartoony either.
Story-there isn't much of a story, you are just given a bunch of event to complete, some are racing based whilst others are derby or stunt events
Max Payne 3, a fast-paced action shooter by Rockstar. The player takes the role as Max Payne, an ex-cop, still depressed over his wife and daughters death. A simple job, turned out to be a full on action packed mission.
Gameplay- Max Payne is a third-person cover-based fast-action shooter. The player must navigate through each level and kill all of the enemies, sometimes timing is critical. good thing the game has Bullet Time to slow down time a little to get that perfect headshot. one main outline is to not get shot too much, there are painkillers (health kits) around the levels, but not enough to cover every injury you get. the use of the slow motion dive is effective when jumping from around a corner to take out whatever enemies may be around there.
Graphics- I thought I'd be used to Rockstar graphics by now, after Red Dead Redemption and LA Nior, but I have to say, I'm impressed. the game really looks real, however, too much for my computer, I bumped the setting down to medium and it still looks great.
Story- the story follows Max, depressed of what happened to his family. drunk and addicted to painkillers, Max was offered a job as a bodyguard for a high-end businessman in São Paulo, Brazil. what seemed like a simple protection job, led to the kidnapping of his boss' wife. max goes onto investigate and get her back
So I went to a bowling club for mothers day today, I got a little bored and realised there was a box of Keno cards and pencils, so I decided to draw on the back of one of them
yes, that was an attempt at my OC Parso Incendiare
I think I'm improving, its starting to look more like a pony rather than a dog with hooves, but the body is too long
So what the hell is this game about? well, to put it simply, think of an 80's sci-fi movie; cyborgs, lazers, big freaking dinosaurs that shoot lazers from their eyes. and add that with Far Cry 3's game engine. cyborg commando Rex Power Colt is the stereotypical sci-fi hero on a mission to save earth from a rogue military force.
Gameplay-plays out much in the same way as Far Cry 3, you can either take out enemies stealthy or as loud as possible. killing enemies, completing missions, etc earn you experience and make you level up, leveling up unlocks you new abilities and can make you more stronger. money is an item in the game which can be used to buy weapon attachments. what separates BD attachments to FC3 attachments is that BD attachments need to be unlocked by doing the requirement on the item you want. the game contains humor, and unlike most games, the humor is actually funny, a real plus in my books.
Graphics-one thing I have to say, neon, neon everywhere. not to mention, Dark too. the game was so dark, I had to actually fiddle with the brightness, contrast and gamma so I can see properly. apart from that, the graphics are shared from Far Cry 3
Story-the story about a cyborg commando alone fighting an army. to put more detail into it, Rex Power Colt is the stereotypical American patriot and must save his planet from a group of rogue military troops to stop them from destroying the world, through his quest he is met by challenges such as giant mutated lizards shooting lazers from their eyes and an army of angry cyborgs

I hope you enjoyed this review, more on the way soon. goodonyaz
I was going to do a voice com, but I dont think the only thing you'd want to hear is me laughing. Duty Calls (aka Call of Duty in a nutshell) is a Parody of Call of Duty to promote Bulletstorm
I have to get this out of the way.
seeing as the release dates for GTAV and SR4 are one month apart I need to do a comparsion to tell you, the games are DIFFERENT
GTA- once a briliant work of open world shooters (especially if I could fly a friggin' jetpack!) started to lose its charm on the creation of IV. I'm a casual gamer, I play games for fun and fun only, but I got bored of IV once the story was finished, it was too realistic for my liking. a proper New York City what I like to call criminal simulator
Saints Row-once a serious open world shooter, it soon developed the idea of going batshit crazy, with aliens, large intimate object weapons, a futuristic setting, zombies and whatnot. I find this more fun than IV because possibilities are endless and the stupidity is eye catching.
am I against what Rockstar is doing to GTA- NO
what I mean to say is that people are going to straight away assume that "theres a small gap between GTA and SR, but they're the same game" NO, Saints Row and GTA are two different games now, one's serious and sophisticated. the other is zany and insane. a theory I like to call the 'Pinkie and the Brain' theory with GTA as the Brain and Saints Row as Pinkie
before posting comments, yes I will get both games upon release and see if anything has changed, until then, we wait
I'm utterly shocked with want after scanning my steam update news to find Saints Row 4 has been announced!
by the looks of things, its more crazier than Saints Row 3.

reading Rock-Paper-Shotgun, apparently it uses some of the resources from Saints Row 3, rather then expensively start from scratch (It was cheaper working with THQ)
Out on current-gen consoles and PC on August 20, 2013, in North America and August 23, 2013, in the rest of the world, that is
my steam friend, Discord (Wynter) unintentially scared the crap outta me....
I was playing a custom Doom level. the map is pitch black dark, the only enemies are invisible and they scream when attack. playing through it keeping my wits about me until *BLEEP* my steam message sound goes off and gives me a mini heart attack. I save and exit Doom to find out what he wrote, the conversation went like this:
Discord: whatchadoin?
[CCCo]Parso 'On Fire' Incendiare: jesus christ, you scared the shit outta me :L
Discord: ?
[CCCo]Parso 'On Fire' Incendiare: I'm playing a custom Doom WAD, its dark and the only enemies are spectres, there is no music and the spectres scream when they attack
Discord: haha, that was randomly timed
[CCCo]Parso 'On Fire' Incendiare: indeed...
Terraria is a 2D indie game that takes Minecraft and Castlevania and shoves them into one game. players can build, fight, venture in their own world. the multiplayer is great for you to rally your friends and take on bosses, or just clown about.
Gameplay- the fun part about 2D adventure games is that you can only go up, down, left and right. there are several sections of the world to view, just to spice things up. the building mechanics are one of the primary functions of the game and blocks need to be placed on other blocks in order to lift the structure into the air
Graphics- for an indie game, i was expecting overly pixelled sprites, but the sprites on Terraria are not too bad, sure there are the obvious pixel but its not too bad that you can't see what the hay you're doing
Story- Terraria features no story, unless one you make for yourself
I'd recommend it, even for an indie game, its a 10 for me. Hope you enjoyed this review, until next time
before I get too ahead of myself, I have only played this game for a while but enough to make a verdict
Far Cry 3
Far Cry 3 is an adventure/FPS by Ubisoft. The games places the player in the most hostile of places. You take the role of Jason Brody, a man who has never killed anyone in his life or had any combat experience.Your friends are kidnapped, your brother killed, just because a few pirates wanted to make an easy buck of ransoming you. You must rise up and become a warrior and face the pirates to save your friends.
Gameplay- Like Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3 is open world with many different opportunities to have fun instead of going from one mission to the next. you can hunt, hang glide, or just shoot a bunch of enemies. there is a large selection of weapons at your disposal and attachments for said weapon. the game also has skills in which you earn as you gain experience, there are 3 skill tiers (Herring, Shark, Spider) acquiring the different skills earns you a new piece of your Tatau (tattoo). the gunplay is simply beautiful and fluid movements. the map is huge but all is hidden until you go to the cell towers and destroy the scrambler, but climbing the tower isnt a walk in the park, every tower is a new challenge and the higher you go, to more feeling of vertigo you face.
Graphics- the graphics are beautiful, even on the lowest setting, the game looks spectacular. I'm pretty sure the game uses the same engine as Crysis 2 which may explain the high detail. I cant see any problem with the graphics so far, however, on lowest, the view distance looks quite bad but medium looks fine. because of high graphics even on the lowest setting, the game failed to run well on my laptop, the sound was out of sync and whatnot, however on desktop computers, its runs quite smoothly.
Story-The player takes the role of Jason Brody, an average 25 year old on a vacation with his friends, until he and his friends get kidnapped. he escapes and follows the path of a warrior with a local tribe. along his journey jason gets eaten by the wilderness and follows the path to insanity. that isnt a spoiler by the way, its the main LORE of the game. The story is extremely touching, I shed a few manly tears as I could feel Jason's every emotion, like losing a brother. though i guess they could have added more about before the game happened, like when Jason was on vacation.
This game is FANTASTIC and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a decent shooter. I waited a whole year for this game to come out and I can say the wait was well worth it. I hope you enjoyed the review, goodonyuz
Hitman: Absolution
Hitman: Absolution is the 5th instalment of the Hitman series. Once again, 47 is hired by the agency to do work for them, though the tables turn when he is instructed to kill his former mentor Diana. Diana tells 47 to protect a young girl who is an experiment, such as 47.
Gameplay-the game is stealth-based, so that means; sneaking around, silently taking down guards and killing the primary target. There is also a cover system which has saved my arse more than once, and finally being introduced: the ability to dual wield any single handed firearm. most of the game is spent garrotting guards, dragging them to a dumpster, taking their clothes, and dumping the body.
Graphics-the graphics are decent, however I've seen greater, but not bad for a game by IO Interactive. the textures are well done in everything; NPC's, environment and objects. though most of the game, 47 has a band-aid on the back of his head and he looks weird without his signature barcode, he looks just like a regular bald guy.
Story-one word: entertaining. yes, I have found a game with a story that I like. I have noticed, around Victoria, 47 seems to be a father-figure and that is probably because he suffered the same. the nice-long missions are a real gem to the story, however the levels are more linear than the previous Hitman games
Overall, the game is beyond impressive and I would gladly recommend it to anyone if they enjoy stealth/action games. I hope you enjoyed the review, goodonyaz
I used to do reviews on Facebook but those idiots would soak up anything I said. these reviews are my personal opinion and are not meant for everyone.
Far Cry 2
Far Cry 2 is a first-person shooter by Ubisoft. The game brings the player to Africa on a mission to kill an Arms Dealer who apparently started a civil war between two factions (the UFFL and the APR). during gameplay the player contracts Malaria which needs to be cured after every 40 minutes (real time).
Gameplay-the game plays out like an open-world FPS with vehicles to travel to and from destinations, however getting to your destination is no walk in the park. there are patrols all over Africa and will shoot at anything that looks like you. The controls are easy to learn and the AI are pretty damn clever, if you hear a vehicle sound, make sure to dodge the rolling mass heading towards you. The pain in the arse about Far Cry 2 is weapon degradation, overused weapons soon start to rust and jam, eventually they will break and be completely useless.
Graphics-the look of the game is not its strong-point, sure everything looks nice and realistic but some parts just look like everything was dusted with Milo. I'd say that the most texture work was done on the environment, weapons and vehicles, as the NPCs look like they could use some more work (oh well, why would you need to look at them if you're only going to pull the trigger)
Story-not giving out as much spoilers as I can, the Story is greatly not entertaining. It gets too repetitive and with repetitiveness comes boredness. I'd like it a lot better if the game never had a brick-wall ending, for an open-world game I'd expect to finish the game to be greeted with more freedom. sadly that isn't a luxury the game has.
Though I can say I rather enjoyed Far Cry 2 and with Far Cry 3 coming in a weeks time, I can do one for that then. I hope you enjoyed the review, goodonyaz
so, it appears theres a new contact to work for after I started up PAYDAY 2 and was greeted by this
4 new jobs. one especially caught my attention, a heist to break out Jim 'Hoxton' Hoxworth (the original Hoxton from the first PAYDAY) it'll be good to have a classic back
doing my usual news browsing on Steam, I noticed this pop up
http://www.pcgamer.com/2014/05/08/killing-floor-2-exclusive-first-look-co-op-fps-horror-with-the-most-advanced-gore-system-ever/
its finally coming, I now apologize to TWI for their lazy update event last time, because they've been busy working on this and seems to run on Unreal 3 and have a far more advanced gore system
I was playing GTA Online earlier, playing with a crewmate like I normally do, until I got a $9000 bounty on me. meaning nearly everyone in the session thats so desperate for money came after me. we both stood in the middle of a street and proceeded to kill everyone that tried to come for this bounty, my friend died 3 times and the other blokes got drilled by us, but not once did they ever kill me and I killed the other guys until they eventually gave up trying for my bounty. my friend was shocked, that I was still standing there, alive and still with $9000 on my head and he now calls me Sweet Tooth based on the Twisted Metal vehicle because the driver is a psychopathic mass murderer
I enjoy my name, still have the bounty
~inb4 pls nerf Parso
every year, a town just a couple blocks away from where I live hosts a big festival, a little homage to the 1950s 'Nostalgiafest'. of course a 50's themed festival and a car show (I have a few photos of said cars too if interested ) walking around realizing how much of a hell it would be for obnoxious fedora shamers and laughing at that thought all the music, clothes and everything was themed to be in the 'gold age'
as promised, cars, most are of hot/rat rod nature, enjoy
In Starbound, Florans are to put it easy; Cannibalistic, war-loving, scavenger plant beings. I came across a Floran town and after hearing what a few of them had to say, they aren't ALL bad :3
they seem to be more friendly than Humans on this game
