  1. Whirl Wake rubbed his ear. "To be honest," He looked out the window. "I have no idea where we're supposed to eat." He put his schedule back into his saddlebag, trotting towards the door. "Maybe we can go ask somepony." Whirl turned the knob with his hoof and held it open for Inks.
  2. Whirl Wake noted the sarcasm in Ink's voice and laughed. "Yeah, I never really did exercise much." He flapped his wings and looked at them. "I barely ever use these anyways. I find walking places to be more calm, considering that there isn't air blowing wildly around your head, making it impossible to hear yourself think." He looked at the other pony's horn, smiling. "Lucky you."
  3. Whirl Wake smiled and began looking through his bags. "Yeah, but there is a hefty sum of more stuck-up ponies that could use a talking to." He pulled out a sheet of paper with his name on it. "There it is!" Whirl turned back around and showed it to Inks. "Do you have your schedule with you? Maybe we have some classes together!"
  4. Whirl Wake thought for a second. "I'm from Canterlot myself. Nice place, very tidy. I was apprenticing to be a pharmacist before I came here. My dream is to create medicines for ponies in needs!" He glanced at Ink's flank. "And don't worry about not having a cutie mark. I'm sure you'll find something perfect for you in time."
  5. Whirl Wake took a deep breath after taking in all of the conversing ponies' dialogue.. "I guess that makes sense." He looked to around. "So, are there designated places for us to stay, or can we just pick a room?" He had a killer urge to fly around, especially after having his wings blocked for the entire day.
  6. Whirl Wake smiled. "Whatever you like, they're both the same anyways." He set down his saddlebag, stretching his wings in response to them no longer being blocked by the two bags and their contents. "So how about you, what's your story?" He asked the blue pony, hoping to get to know more about him.
  7. Whirl Wake raised his eyebrows and looked back at the invitation. "Nope!" He articulated his words. "Absolutely no idea." He put the piece of parchment back into his saddlebag, shifting his wings uncomfortably due to it locking them off. "I hope to find out soon though, 'cause these bags are making my wings claustrophobic. I barely use them anyways..." Whirl Wake turned back to the mare. "So where are you from, by the way?"
  8. Whirl Wake smiled and stifled a chuckle at the pony's reluctant behavior. He didn't seem to be shy, rather just a bit... Antisocial. "Nice to meet you, Inks. I'm Whirl Wake. And yeah, I guess I am." He held out his hoof to the stallion, hoping for him to open up over time.
  9. Whirl Wake laughed. "Well, I'm not saying I wouldn't like that.." He looked down. "Mares never really have liked me that much." His gaze faded into space, his thoughts taking over. "They always say that I'm too vocal, because sometimes I just say what's on my mind, no matter how bad it is." Whirl snapped out of his daze. "But no, please don't mess me up with any magic spells." He said with a chuckle, forcing a smile.
  10. Whirl Wake completed the last question in his form. "We'll then, nice to meet you Dust. See ya!" He trotted back to the counter, where he found out that he would be rooming in dorm 7. He thanked the lady at the counter and began to trot to his dorm, looking around as butterflies danced not-so-gracefully in his stomach. When Whirl arrived at the room, he noticed another pony at the door. "Hey!" He said in a friendly tone.
  11. Whirl Wake smiled. "Nice to meet you, Dust. I'm Whirl Wake." He held out his hoof and felt it be shaken by the colt. "So I hear this college is great, I'm very glad I got accepted." He filled out another line on the form. "What do you plan on studying? I particularly like medical science, though you may already know that." Whirl Wake chuckled and glanced at his own cutie mark.
  12. @ Whirl Wake shrugged. "Sure thing!" He turned to the left and started talking. "So you're wondering about me, huh?" He thought for a second. "Well, I've lived in Canterlot all my life. It's a nice place, though there is an alarming sum of rather stuck-up ponies." He laughed. "I've had a passion medicine all my life. Every since I was 10, when I created an instant-acting headache pill for my mom, I've had this." Whirl looked at his cutie mark. "I work as a pharmacist back in the city, and I really enjoy it. It just feels great to know that you're working for the greater good, you know?" He glanced at Emerald's flank. "I take it you have an affinity for gems." He smiled and looked up to her face. "Why don't you tell me about that?"
  13. @ Whirl Wake tried to talk, but everything was happening so fast. He watched in confusion as the large griffon flew off. "Well, looks like it's just you and me again." He said, turning to Emerald. "Wanna keep looking around?" He gestured further down the hallway, where the two other ponies had gone.
  14. Whirl Wake trotted into the building, looking around nervously. He trotted up to the front desk and was given a form by the mare who worked there. He took it, along with a pencil, and sat down at a bench next to another stallion. He worked on his form for a few minutes before speaking. "So..." Whirl Wake paused. "I take you're also new here?"
  15. Whirl Wake opened his mouth to respond, but was cut off by a voice from up the stairs. He looked up and responded to the pony. "Rooms?" Whirl looked around. "Not that I know of." He looked up and down the blue pony. "Say, what's your name? I'm Whirl Wake." He was happy to be meeting so many nice ponies for his journey. He gestured to Emerald. "This here's Emerald Gaze, and this is..." He looked over at the shy mare he helped before. "What's your name again?"
  16. Whirl Wake smiled and laughed at the adorably nervous pony. "No worries! It's not my ship anyways." He said, lifting the bucket back to its oiginal location. "Were you invited here as well?" He pulled out his invitation from his saddlebag and showed it to her, grinning warmly as to not scare the timid pony again.
  17. @@Mikestar, Whirl Wake's ears were suddenly assaulted by a painful-sounding assortment of bangs and clashes. He turned around to see another pony, sitting awkwardly on the ground with a tipped bucket behind her. He did his best to stifle a giggle as he trotted over to the mare, holding out a hoof and helping her get back up again.
  18. Whirl Wake let his gaze wonder, his mouth agape as he admired the cleanliness of the place. "I still don't know who own this place, but when I do, I'm gonna have to ask them how they manage to maintain this place so flawlessly." He turned back to Emerald as he walked. "So, what's your story? Clearly we were brought here for a reason." He stared into the mare's green eyes, nearly getting lost in them for a moment before snapping back into reality.
  19. ((Sorry for taking so long. Playing tennis in the tropics at this time of year is NOT fun.)) Whirl Wake chuckled, bent down and swung open the hatch, revealing a well-kept staircase going down onto a floor below. The light of lanterns shone from the bottom, swinging back in forth in synchronization with the immense vessel. "I saw the two ponies go down here. Maybe one of them was the guy in charge." He got up and began walking down the steps, putting his head down curiously as to get a better look at what was coming.
  20. Whirl Wake turned back towards the hatch that he watched two ponies go into before. "I saw two others walk down there." He gestured at the mysterious entrance. "I tried to yell to them, but they couldn't hear me." Whirl turned back to Emerald. "Wanna go check it out?" He said, smiling, with a hint of mischief in his voice.
  21. ((OOC: Crimson and friend are inside the ship. Whirl Wake is the only one on deck.)) Whirl Wake turned to see an unknown mare boarding the ship. "Hi!" He said. "I'm Whirl Wake." He lifted the invitation he received and showed it to her. "Did you get one of these too?" Whirl Wake wondered how many others were invited here.
  22. @,@, Whirl Wake trotted down the dock, repeatedly shifting his glance between the invitation he received and the many ships there were to his right. Soon he was next to the ship from the card, at which he marveled for a second before boarding it. He saw only two ponies, both of which were entering a large hatch in the floor. "Excuse me?" He called loudly, trying to get the ponies' attention. They had already stepped down into the hole, so they probably didn't hear him.
  23. Funny thing, Saving Private Ryan probably had more gore than that in the first scene, and that wasn't even horror. Still was traumatizing the first time I saw it. Makes me hate the hell out of war.

Thanks, I like it too. :3

  25. I tend to stay away from grimdark. It's a bit... Grim for me. Also dark. Very dark. Grim and dark. Yeah. Rainbow factory I have read, and I must say it was well written, I was just kind traumatized by the many gruesome details put in. Cupcakes is the same thing. Gore x infinity. I would strongly recommend you listen more closely to the above poster. He seems to know what he's doing.
