He grinned. "Glad to hear it. It's just a short walk from here. Trust me, you won't be disappointed." He led her down the street, continuing to hold her hand, feeling a sort of warmth wash over him that he hadn't felt in years. It was good to know there was still a girl out there that could make him feel this way.

Amber couldn't figure out what to do so she made a decision. She walked out of the tower and quickly casted a shield around herself. "Tempest I don't care how far down in that mind you are, I don't care how hard you have to work but you have to fight, take out whatever has taken your mind." She was prepared to run back into the tower as she could barely defend herself.

Meghan put her hands up to cover her face while her eyes adjusted to the light. When they finally did, she looked at the girl behind the glaring light. "Was I freaking out? I don't really know what happened here." Meghan confessed and scuffed her toe againnst the ground, hitting the headset, curious, she picked it up. "What's this headset doing on the floor?"

Tempest glanced at Amber, and flew at her. His swords made contact with the shield, and he pulled back. The teen then felt a strange wetness near his left eye and wiped it off. "What is this?" He thought, slightly distracted by the salty water that was on the back of his hand. The teen only assumed that the female had done something to him to make him show an emotion other than pure rage, and continued to strike the shield with his swords. "Oh, if only you know what that fool thinks of you. It's not like you'll ever find out, though."

 

Somewhere within the darkness of the corrupted Tempest, a figure sat in chains. It's body was beaten, bloodied, and in desperate need of healing. It shifted slightly when it heard Ambers' voice. "No. Get away. That thing's going to kill you." He shouted, but he doubted anyone would hear him.

Amber was annoyed, she had seen to many bad things in her life and she didn't want another person to die on her account. She kept up just enough of the shield with her left hand and used her right to send balls of energy at tempest. "if there is anyone at the console that can hear me then please help in some way."

Dan dodged Tempest's blade and in a short window of time, gained some distance. He then noticed him stay attacking Amber. Dan knew that he wasn't in his right mind so he decided to go with the same tactic used on defective TVs, a good smack. Dan then closed his eyes and started to concentrate. The static around him went haywire and he started to vibrate rapidly. When he opened his eyes, they glowed a bright yelllow, like the sun. "Snap out of it!" Dan yelled as he took off toward Tempest, a sonic boom left in his wake, to knock some sense into him.

"I don't know. Why were you on the floor?" Genesis put the headset on, sadly it was dead silent. "That nerd sent me down here like I work for the goddamn Geek Squad. We need to find the computers main drive, see if we can get the power back on." She shone the light around the room, finding the exit and walking out into a small hallway.

Meghan followed the girl with the blinding flashlight into the hallway. "I don't really know why I was on the floor. Guess one of my personalities took over. That would explain why I can't remember anything after I walked into the elevator." Meghan told her.

"Your what? Oh you mean that other voice you did?" She found the small staircase leading down to where Meghan had been shocked.

 

Genesis looked back at Meghan "You can stay or come, whatever." She began carefully walking down the steps.

Meghan simply nodded. She looked at where they going and realised that it was the place where she was electrocuted. Placing a fist over her heart, she gulped and followed her down. "What's your name? I'm Meghan." Meghan introduced herself and tried not to think about how she practically died in that room.

Tempest was hit hard by the aura sphere, and was thrown into Dan's attack. After the impact, his body slid against the rock and came to a stop at the edge of the island. He coughed slightly, as he stood up and his character model glitched and fizzled for a second, before returning to it's normal, albeit still corrupted, form. "Your efforts are in vain, fools." He said, before pointing a sword at Amber. "I wonder how he would react if I ripped out your heart." A faint white light then breached the darkness of Tempest's clothes, and he was slightly curious.

 

Within the confines of his mind, Tempest was breaking through the chains placed on him by Xana. "Don't you dare touch her." He roared, as light flooded his mind. "I won't let you hurt anyone I care about. This ends now." At this point, Tempest didn't care if Amber could hear him. He just wanted to make this thing pay for what it had done to him.

"Genesis." They reached the room from before, the machinery giving off a mild glow. After pressing a button a few times, Genesis sighed "We need to recharge it somehow."

 

X.A.N.A was infuriated. His hold was slipping on Tempest as he riddled him with anger.

 

One day you will X.A.N.A whispered in his mind.

Meghan was hesitant at first to step in the room. After debating with herself whether to go in theroom or not, she decided to head in there anyway. After hearing what Genesis said, she cautiously ran her hands along the surface of the computer again, to see if there was some sort of button other than the one that Genesis pressed. 'Don't get shocked, don't get shocked, don't get shocked, don't get shocked ...' Meghan kept repeating this in her head as she ran her hands slowly over the smooth surface of the computer.

Amber hear tempest, she didn't know how but she could. Amber blushed at tempest's comment but immediately got back into what she was doing. She casted a shield that surrounded tempest while he fought himself. "Tempest if you can hear me then beat this monster inside of you. Survive at the very least."

Tempest heard what Amber had said and realized that she had most likely heard him. The teen blushed slightly, before turning his attention back to Xana. "If you think that I'll let you harm my friends, then you are mistaken." He said, as the light within his mind intensified. "Now, get out of my head and never come back." Any remnants of the eye of Xana were immediately pushed out of Tempest's mind and sent back to the main body of the computer virus.

 

The corrupted version of Tempest glared at Amber, and growled. "I'll deal with your... admirer after I kill you." He then felt a searing pain in his chest and looked down to see the light break through and eventually begin to delete his character. "What is the meaning of this?" He screamed, as he rammed himself against the shield. Eventually, the light consumed the entirety of Tempest's body and began to change it.

Amber was so shocked that she accidentally let go of the shield and let tempest fall to the ground. "Dan I am a bit scared of getting near tempest right now as he was just covered in a ball of light, can you check to see if he is still alive? I'll be right back, I am gonna see if I can make contact now that we are supposedly done with what this monster was." Amber walked back into the tower and ascended to the second level. She walked over to the screen to see it was still down.

Sparks flew from her fingers, lighting up the console and kick starting the computer.

 

Genesis gasped lightly; not really knowing what the hell was wrong with Meghan. The headset crackles to life before she could say anything about it.

The screen lit up in front of Amber. Asking her for the code again.

 

"Are yo- ---- ali-- in there gu--?" Genesis voice crackled through the atmosphere of Lyoko.

After continuing to walk hand in hand with Whisper for a little while longer, the two of them arrived at their destination, a small but fairly lively and generally pleasant looking pub. "Well, here we are. You think this place is going to be okay? We can go somewhere else if you want." This was pretty much their first real date, and he didn't want to risk anything being less than perfect.

Meghan jerked her hands away from the computer, afraid she'd get shocked again. When that didn't happen she noticed that the factory had power back and used the light to look at her hands. "What did I just do?" Meghan asked worriedly, not sure if she should be put in a mental institute or not.

Ambers face showed up on the screen in the real world. "Hello again, you just fixed the computer and turned the lights back on in this dark world. Do you see a way that you can get us out as it seems tempest sustained major injuries while it was down." Amber looked around and turned back to the screen,"oh and we can hear you out of the tower so just talk to us now I need to go see if they are ok out there." Amber got up and walked back out of the tower.

By the time the light subsided, Tempest's body had return to the teen. The only difference was that he had pure white wings instead of black. When he glanced at Dan, there was no emotion other than utter remorse. "I'm sorry." He said, before collapsing to the ground. Whatever had happened to the teen had drained him of almost all of his energy.

"I can't pull anyone out. I couldn't before and I'm sure as hell can't do it now. Just stab each other or something." Genesis answered. It had worked before, it could work now. She kept a weary eye on Meghan.

Her eyes lit up, she was a little nervous with the adult crowd but felt safe with Rush there. "It looks wonderful Rush, I'll let you decide on our meal." She squeezed his hand happily; skipping into the pub.

Amber took it upon herself to get them out, they still had family after all. Right as she came out she attacked dan without letting him react and de materialized him within seconds. She walked over to Tempest and kneeled at his head. "If there is a way you can hear me do this, when you get out tell them I had to do this, the towers are connected and I can't leave, after all there is nowhere for me to go." She leaned down and kissed him on the cheek before hitting him with and energy ball which de materialized him. Amber walked back into the tower and up to the screen, "tell them I don't think I can get out anymore... The power outage tied me here."

Meghan walked back a bit from Genesis and tried not to touch anything in case the same thing happened. "Did that just happen? Did I bring power back just by placing my hands on the computer?" Meghan asked herself calmly, trying to figure out what happened. She curled one of her hands into a fist and some electricity played across her knuckles. Laying her hand flat stopped it. "Nononononono." Meghan panicked and paced around the room.

When Tempest woke up, he was in the scanner. Unfortunately, he had heard what Amber had said, and sat against the back of the inside of the tube. "Why?" He thought to himself. "Why did it have to be her." A rush of emotions then surged through Tempest's mind, anger and sadness being the most dominant. Anger at himself for not being able to stop her, and sadness for the loss of one of the only girls who he might've had a chance with.The teen couldn't hold it back anymore and began to cry for the first time since his parent's death. He didn't care if anyone saw him or even if the tubes' door opened, he just wanted to vent his emotions. "I swear I'll find a way to bring you back. I swear I'll show you someone who still cares for you, even if it's for the sake of their own sanity." He thought.
