[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

Melody was able to get herself together and got up. She was still a bit wobbly. The birds just stayed perched on her back. "I guess I should...find...if other ponies are around..." Melody said to herself as she continued to walk through the bright sunny meadow.

From the branch Times was standing on he could see over all the other trees. He could see the meadow to the west and saw something moving. "Probably just a deer or a coyote..." Times said to himself before taking another bite of his apple. He decided to not check it out and sat down. He knew he would probably have to get moving soon. Anything that had eyes could see him from anywhere in the forest if they knew to look up.

While Times was ditracted, Hurricane swiftly flew down from the tree she was hiding in, grabbed the apple from him and flew back up to another tree all a matter of two seconds. She looked like a black blur. Back in the tree, she examined the apple and sniffed it. she was very cautios of it. Especially coming from a pony she didn't know. Eventually, she took a small bite of the apple. It tasted so sweet and juicy. she hadn't realized how hungry she was. hurricane quickly finished up the apple and dropped the apple core on Times' head. "Thanks, it was delicious" she said jokingly.

Times looked back up after the apple landed on his head. "your welcome... I guess" Times took another bite of his apple before jumping to another branch and laid down on it. He smiled and looked up at the leaves of the tree. A leaf came off of the branch above him and landed on his face. Times sat up and looked at it for a few seconds before setting it aside and laying back down.

Walking through the woods Thorn began shifting his colors to blend in and started to notice pegasi flying around. "Hello up there, my name is Thorn?! Can I speak with you for a moment?" Changing back to his normal colors he waved to the pegasi to get their attention.

Hurricane jumped at the sound of another pony's voice. She turned her head to see Thorn waving in their general direction. She nestled herself deeper into the thick patch of leaves she was hiding in and hoping she wasn't seen. She didn't respond to the pony and waited to see the threat level. Hurricane figured if anything bad happened, at least Times was there to take the first hit.

Melody was walking with her birds that she had befriended until she came across another pony. She stopped and took a few steps back. Her shyness was getting the best of her, and she just stood there, watching as the other pony hid in the bushes, hoping something bad wasn't going to happen.

(OOC: Hurricane is in a tree, not a bush. Just clearing that up.)

 

Hurricane was too focused on Thorn to notice Melody near her. She definitely wasn't afraid of any other pony. She was just cautious in case she needed to attack or flee. she was debating to herself whether or not she should fly down to him. "How much of a threat could he be?" she thought to herself. She just decided to stay in the tree for a little while longer.

Times looked down and said "hi!" Times jumped from branch to branch before slipping on the lowest branch and fast planting on the ground below. He looked up at the new pony and got back on his hooves. He plucked some leaves out of his mane and looked at him. "Hi, I'm Times and you are?"

Shooting glanced a bit when Thorn changed colors but didn't really put much thought into it. Did he change colors? Oh well, I'm just imagining, no need for alarm. Shooting thought as she watched the scenery around her. She watched as few animals wandered around.

"I am Thorn, it is nice to meet you. Do you happen to know how you got here or if you have seen any sings of civilization?" Approaching Times carefully extending out his hoof to shake. Looking up he called to the other one in the tree. "You can come down too, I am no threat to you unless you are one to me." Looking around he notice a few other ponies approaching as well. Thorn sat down and watched them all calling them all closer.

Times shook his hoof "I have no idea how I got hear and the closest thing to civilization is... nothing!" Times said. "Up there is... well I don't really know her name... she has just been in a tree and I gave her an apple earlier and I think that's the only time she came out... so far, but I wasn't looking..."

"Well here I am again." Hurricane said as she flew down from the tree and landed near the two ponies. "Except this time you can see me." she smiled. "Name's Hurricane." she said. "And for a good reason too." she stretched out her strong, powerful, but graceful wings and leapt into the air. Once she was pretty high, she drew her wings in a dove back to the ground, but before she hit it, she flew around in a circle creating a small tornado picking up dust and loves leaves. Once she stopped the dust blew outward from her. "I have many more tricks, but I usually do them when I'm alone. I'm not very fond of ponies. no offense." she smiled sheepishly.

Times' eyes were wide as he said "that... was... the coolest thing I have ever seen... especially because only one pony did that instead of a group of 30 or 40..." Times was still looking at where the tornado formed. He then looked back to Hurricane and Thorn. "wow" He whispered to himself. 

[Thorn 7]

"Well I suppose if we are pooling our talents." As thorn finished his sentence his body and mane turned the color of the forest around him then shifted back. "I am the guardian and protector of Prince Fallen Star, trained in three kinds of magic and four kinds of physical combat. We need to know what each other can do so that we can better survive until we find civilization."

Shooting listened to what Thorn was saying. "Well, if the rest of you are telling... Then... I'll tell too. My talent is astronomy..." Shooting said and sat down. Ooh, that explains the camouflage I saw as we walked. Shooting thought. She walked into the shade of the tree and sat down, leaning against the tree.

Hurricane watched Thorn display his camoflauge talent and listened to what he had to say. "Well aren't you special." she smirked. Then she saw Shooting walk out of bushes and heard what her talent was. "Wow, who doesn't want the talent of staring at the sky and paper charts for hours." she said with much sarcasm.

Times looked at Hurricane "Well aren't you just a happy ray of sunshine... wow I just noticed how Ironic that is..." Times laughed and then looked back to the others. "Me.... I don't really know my talent... my cutie mark doesn't help that either... just file me under Miscellaneous..."

"It's a good excuse to stay up though. It also helps if your lost so you better watch it." Shooting said.

 

"Oh yes, it's everybody's favorite thing to do! Watching stars that don't move a lot and never see a comet, gee it's so much fun!" Shooting said highly sarcastically. If we're lost I don't want to lead her in the woods north. She thought.

"Astronomy is useful for quite a few things as is the ability to make tornadoes. Now then, Times can you fly up and point me towards where the trees thin out I want to begin making shelter. Everyone is welcome to join me but I will not tolerate fighting for no reason or those who do not assist in some way. Survival is made not with the fittest but with the most patient." Thorn chuckled as he said the phrase told to him so many times and looked around at everyone to see who would be following him.

Hurricane rolled her eyes. "Ok, ok. I'm just poking a little fun anyway." she said. "But if anypony starts something with me, I'm gonna finish it." Then she looked at Thorn. "Anyway, I'll fly around and see if I can find any natural resources near here. I spotted a small lake not far away from us. I'll also look for some building material."

Times saluted and said "Roger, Roger" Times then flew up to the tallest tree he could find. He looked around and saw a large clearing. He flew back down to Thorn and said "There is a clearing about half a mile north of here, There are a few fruit trees near it and their could be some berry bushes as well."

Shooting started following Thorn. "I could help know what direction to go if we get lost or which way to build best..." Shooting said. Wow my talent isn't good for helping right now.. Shooting thought as the rest started helping in another way. She watched the others do their job.

"Shooting, when we get to camp start mapping out constellations and doing an overlay of rotation that will let us know how mild or extreme weather is in this area" Thorn looked around as he started heading north I hope I don't get anypony hurt. As Thorn walked he started to lift small clumps of dirt and examine then while he walked.

Times followed him before seeing the beetle from before. Times lost concentration and followed the beetle away from the group. Times then stopped and stared at the beetle that landed on a tree. "Your move... beetle" Times then remembered what he was doing. He ran back to the group "Wait up!" Times yelled before tripping and landing on a bush.
