Dragon Trek - the Phony Brony

And for now it's unlisted and considered a WIP. It's not sophisticated enough, and I need to add more layers.

Ever since Pinkie's theme song got onto Equestria Daily (and 4 more songs) I started actually having a reason to make music; before I had no motivation whatsoever except my own dislike of my music. So recently I've been pumping out music at an unnatural speed and have been wasting all my time that I usually play games on (plus some extra time) on FL Studios. I guess it's not wasting is it?

This song isn't supposed to be sad like earlier in the episode than seen in the picture. It's supposed to have the action of the actual journey...

What do you guys think?

Sounds pretty good to me! Kudos for being so dedicated to your music and getting something that sounds great out so quickly - by contrast, I usually need weeks to compose a full piece. I would say that the ending comes very abruptly... you might want to do a little more there before it suddenly comes to a halt. When making your music more "sophisticated", also be careful not to overdo it. It sounds quite full and rich to me already, so don't layer on 400 instruments just because you can.

 

You can change your name here on MLP Forums quite easily. Sadly, there's no way to change it on YouTube, though.

 

By the way, Phony Brony, do you plan to upload your music to Pony.fm when it launches? I think your music would make a fantastic addition to the site.

Yeah maybe I shouldnt fret about the time. And I shouldnt layer more instruments "just cause I can."

 

I'll probably keep my name, meh.

 

Oh and I will definitely upload to pony.FM! I saw the ad earlier and entered my email (I think) to the interest list.

After all, this community was the one the jump started my "career" so I might as well spend some time showing gratitude to the wonderful ponies who make this what it is.

If one day, I become a celebrity (lol), you can blame it on MLPForums for the great encouragement it has given me. If I ever am kicked out of school because I spend too much time making music and watching ponies, you can blame it on MLPForums, too xDDD

Thank you for letting me know people actually like me! All this attention I have gotten in the past month, considering how I get next to no encouragement from my actual friends, has started to shake my firm belief that I am not talented. Just a bit.

 

 

I love your songs, they're all so great! If you could get a vocalist for a few, it would be amazing though.

 

I haven't had much inspiration for vocal music, but I'm sticking with High Warlord Skar VI for any vocals I might need. The smile song remix I made was supposed to have pinkie so I had to find a pegasister for that. But for originals I should be fine, that is, if I ever come up with anything.
