Why does ponification bother people?

Because we do it to EVERYTHING. Seriously, I'm sure if you look up 'ponified bread' you'll find it. How can THAT not be annoying to people not in the fandom?

I know some people ponify stuff on purpose to wind up the haters. Even if only to reinforce rule #85 of the internet.

I have no idea why it bothers people.... I mean there is a fine line between forcing something onto people and it just being all over the freaking place. Then again that is just exploited hate logic.

 

One would have to be very weak/narrow minded to actively protest against ponification rather than go about their merry day, let alone comprehend the simple fact that other fandoms are just as notorious with their personifications.
