(This RPG was inspired by (but not based on) Marvel Comics' Exiles.)

 

--- The Story...

 

Time has become unhinged.

 

All realities and all dimensions are loosely connected, making up a “chain of reality”. If something should go wrong in one reality, it will eventually create a domino effect and have some sort of impact on the next reality, and so on. Until recently, time had been moving along quite smoothly. But there have been recent events within these realities that have the potential to wreck havoc on all of time.

 

There is a group of heroes that will be plucked from their own realities to right the wrongs and “fix the kinks” in this chain of reality. And you are one of them. Join the fight to save the entire universe from collapsing.

 

--- You, The Heroes...

 

You will be part of a team of heroes (and villains) who travel to these different realities and dimensions righting the wrongs in the chain of reality. When you complete a mission, you then move on to the next reality to find a new mission. Failing to succeed would cause a domino effect and eventually life as we know it would cease to exist.

 

You can play as any, and I do mean ANY, character from ANY franchise (including My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic)! Further down the line, we may see original characters. But for the time being, you will play as a character from whatever franchise/universe you'd prefer. You have many movies, cartoons, comics, TV shows, video games (etc.) to choose from. So choose wisely. Limit of one character per player. If you feel you need more than that please PM me for approval. (For example, if you were playing Moe, Larry and Curly...where you can't have one without the others...I may allow it.)

--- Notes From Your GM...

 

1) The team will be considered “heroes” since they have to save the universe from falling apart. But if you want to play a villainous character (like Queen Chrysalis) on the team, be my guest. It will add some personal conflict and character development to the story.

 

2) This is a massive crossover, with many characters to choose from, so have fun with it.

 

3) Throughout the story, the team will be jumping to other franchises (like the Matrix, Lord of the Rings, X-Men, Tomb Raider, etc...) so you will be interacting with other characters from those universes. I don't think a crossover RPG can get any more “crossover” than this. 

 

4) Feel free to PM me with any questions and/or comments.

 

5) Follow all the usual rules and TOS on the MLP Forums. Please refer to those threads if you need to be reminded.

Again, this is just in it's planning stages, and I may limit the number of characters to about a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 7, but the magic number of players we are looking for is 5 (not including the spot I would be taking up with my character.)

You said no original characters for now, but what about video game characters like, say, Commander Shepard, or the Dragonborn, who are basically whatever the player makes them to be? I ask because I usually don't like writing for other people's characters, and as much as I'd like to join this in theory, that's probably the only way I could.

That's a very good question!

 

Considering those characters are actually set up in the story, I would say they would be allowable. More allowable than say, a character that you would make for an MMO or anything like that.

 

In the case of Commander Shepard, I would ask that you let us know your specialization and which weapon you had on hand at the time (of course we're not world-breaking, so it could be just about anything). 

 

The same would go for the Dragonborn. Just let us know what you would have on-hand. Spells, weapons, shouts.

 

As long as you, the player, attempted to keep it fair and balanced, I would say we could allow the Dragonborn and Shepard easily

Short Bio/History: Sly lived with his father for part of his young life eying his master thief clan for the time. It wasn't until his father was attacked and killed by the fiendish five. Orphaned and having no place to go, he was sent to the orphanage, where he met two friends that would later become his true companion, Bentley  a turtle and Murray, a hippo.

Absolutely! That wouldn't be too far of a stretch.

 

By the same means, one could play the Jedi Exile from Knights of the Old Republic: The Sith Lords or any character from an RPG in which you pick a class and name them yourself.

 

Of course, that does still exclude MMORPGS like World of Warcraft and the like.

This looks like it will turn out really good. I'm gonna join when I think of a good character to play as.

Weapon(s) of choice: Heavenly Wave style, Legendary Strike style, the Mirabelle, and Teng's Vengeance.

Short Bio/History: Until it was attacked and destroyed by the Lotus Assassins, Tiger Shen was the star pupil of the Two Rivers martial arts school. After it was destroyed, he embarked on a journey to bring the attackers to justice and find answers about his own past. After many struggles and a crushing betrayal, he eventually succeeded in not only his original goals, but also in restoring balance to the Jade Empire, and fulfilling his destiny as the last spirit monk of Dirge. Now seen as a hero by many, he continues to fight for balance however he can.

Short Bio/History:

The biggest sensation in the Cirque des Cartes, Cerebella is a tumbling, soaring dynamo of star power: throughout the Canopy Kingdom, she’s admired for her enormous strength and alluring curves. Sadly, this acrobatic orphan only desires the attention of one man, mobster Vitale Medici, who took her in and became the closest thing to a father she’s ever known.

 

While inherently good, Cerebella serves the mafia as a leg-breaker when not performing in the circus. Cerebella is the only person capable of controlling her powerful Living Weapon hat, Vice-Versa, so Vitale is stingy with his affections to keep her fighting in his corner.

Description of Appearance: 

Short Bio/History: Throughout the eons of time, there were two factions that kept a watch over history. The Lumen Sages, creatures of the heavens and of light, and the Umbra Witches, beings of darkness damned due to the covenant with the devil that gave them their powers. Both of these factions were the keepers of two precious treasures - the Eyes of the World. These eyes were used to oversee the passage of time and so one group could not rewrite time however they wished it, the Eyes were divided between them. The Lumen Sages watched over the Right Eye, while the Umbra Witches watched over the Left Eye.

There was a tale among both clans that disaster and chaos would befall if there were ever a child born of both Lumen Sage and Umbra Witch blood. Thus the clans were never allowed to mingle in such a way. Bayonetta herself was seen as the fulfillment of this tale. Born to an Umbra Witch and with a Lumen Sage as a father, she was this crossing of kinds that had never before been allowed. Her mother was imprisoned for her actions and Bayonetta was raised as an outcast among the Umbra Witches. Fights angels for fun.

Description of Appearance: 

Bio/History: The bot who would become the feared Megatron was born into the lower caste without a name and was given the registry code D-16. D-16 became an energon miner in Kaon and like most miners became a gladiator as a distraction from his horrible life. As he watched his foes die, he realized that Cybertron was not a world worth living in and decided to campaign for change. His first act of defiance was to take a name for himself. He took the name Megatronus in honor of the Prime he most admired. Megatronus considered Megatronus Prime to be the greatest Prime as he would not bow to his brothers rules and forged his own destiny. Secretely, he also took the name to show how the mighty Cybertronian race had fallen and could rise again.

After Megatronus won another match, he vowed to bring down the Caste system and bring equality for the masses, thus becoming political.

In his mission to bring equality, Megatronus met the young Orion Pax, who assisted him in his quest and the young Orion came to see Megatronus as a mentor. They became close friends over time and developed a deep bond. Orion and Megatronus were like brothers in their bond. Megatronus also gained a large political following including Soundwave. Megatronus decided to shorten his name to "Megatron" before seeing the high council. However once there Megatron revealed his true colors and demanded the old way be thrown over by force and demanded to be named the next Prime. Power had coruppted Megatron's mind and made him aggressive. Orion, however did not agree with Megatron's proposal and proclaimed a much more peaceful way of justice, which threw Megatron into severing all ties with Orion and the Council. Knowing that he was praised in Cybertronian media and being called a hero, he let his pride take over him and sought to seize power by force to meet the expectations of his ego and the press. Enraged by his friend's belief, Megatron turned against Orion and went on to create the "Decepticon" army with his followers, which took the remaining population by suprise, who in response named themselves the Autobots, and thus began the war. 

Eventually Megatron was Killed in action and his body was revived by Unicron, the chaos bringer, in an effort to destroy Cybertron. Even so, Unicron was defeated, leaving Megatron back in control of his own body, but he lost his strong desire for domination and control after being controlled by Unicron. And so, He left His home planet, in a self-induced exile.

Ooh interesting! As far as his weapons go, I know he had "tech" but shall we try to narrow it down? Cannon? Blaster? Or is that no good?

As I stated with Lord Megatron, maybe you could narrow down which Force Powers Revan has currently? The Force just seems like a very broad area. And also, it helps to narrow down how you're playing THIS Revan. Male/Female, good/neutral/evil, and the like.
