"Well naw that's good to hear, wouldn't wanna impose on yer gatherin' of fresh air, haha." Badaboom replied not taking her eyes from the glittering lights above. "So I take it yer not really a party goer? That part seems a lit' obvious. Don't mind my askin' why'd ya attend then?" She continued if not just to induce small talk.

Riley took a bow after finishing his act, and he was just about to boast when he suddenly felt an all-too-familiar gurgling feeling in his abdomen. In fact, it was loud enough for the other guests to hear. Geez, what was in those sandwiches? he thought, and rushed into the stallions' bathroom.

 

Anyone close enough to the bathroom door could hear the well-known but disgusting sounds of using the toilet, along with Riley straining, and yelling things such as, "Dang, that really took the effort to get out!"

Rainbow had put on the song "The Monster", as Python and Boom Box made their way to the middle of the room.

 

Boom Box started to rap to song, while Python danced.

 

Meanwhile, Cheshire Grin frowned, something that she was not used to. " It's a long story... A painful memory..."

"I'm not sure why I even came. I thought I could come out of my comfort zone, but I guess not." She sighs, remembering the birthday party again. "I guess it just wasn't meant to be," she says, still looking up at the stars. She wondered what was going on inside, but she really didn't want to go back in.

Gem Shine noticed Skyla had left the area and decided to get up and go outside. When she did she saw Skyla sitting down looking at the stars. "Hey Skyla um w-what are you doing out here" Gem Shine asked her. "Is there something wrong" Gem Shine asked Skyla.

Sapphire shook her head, It was clear that she should have never have come here. She guessed thats what most of the others were saying, but at least they seemed to havesomeone to talk to, not just books... She smiled and started walking over to the exit, her friends had always been books, and that wasnt going to change

After he was done, Riley reached for the toilet paper, and was horrified to see that there was nothing but one square left. He used it, but knowing that it would be nowhere near enough.

Riley exited the bathroom. Hoping nopony would notice an aroma, Riley casually sat down next to some ponies. "'Sup, you two?"

"Oh...well that's disappointing, least ya gave it a try, huh?" Badaboom responded quickly, when her attention was suddenly dragged to that of another mare who decided to come out into the night air. Judging by her question she was out to check on Skyla's well being. Boom stretched her hooves up to the night sky above, but didn't say anything to the new commer, not yet at least, it wasn't her place to butt in.

Skyla looks down at Gem. "I'm okay, just needed some fresh air," she says. "Anything going on inside?" she asks. She was curious what was going on inside. When she was walking out, the host was asking for someone to sing. She wondered who actually had the courage to stand up there and sing, she knows she would never sing anywhere.

"So far nothing else has happened well besides someones sister sung and Riley ran to the bathroom after eating something..." Gem said trying to explain what has been happening. "To tell the truth I just wanted to come outside...I'm not really the one to be at parties..."

"Same here, even though I tend to talk a lot," she says. "I'm just going to stay out here until somepony in the house needs me or until the party is over," she says. She kind of wanted to go back in, but she thought she would be out of place and not know what to do again.

"I might as well do the same...I'm not very talkative at all" Gem Shine said. "Maybe it was a bad idea that I came to the party..." Gem Shine said to herself as she was deciding if she should leave or not. "Should I leave...or should I stay" Gem Shine asked herself again

"Whoa whoa whoa, hold the hell up for jus' a minute!" Boom cut in not paying much attention to the pairs conversation, but couldn't help notice a peculiar similarity between them. "Neither of you are much for parties!?! Jeez, what a crowd...thought the turn out was good, could I've been wrong, it seems so. What y'all doin' at a party then, you knew what tonight was about yeah?"

"I thought I could come out of my comfort zone, so I thought I'd try going to this party," she repeats. "But, I don't know what to actually do," she says. She thinks back to the birthday party again, unwilling to admit that she was afraid no one would notice her if she tried to have fun with them. What fun would it be if you're trying to have fun with other ponies yet they pay no attention to you or even acknowledge your existence?

"I came because I never actually been to a party before...never been invited to one until now" Gem Shine said. "Though so far it seems like I'm not all that cut out for parties" Gem Shine muttered to herself sadly. She thought about just leaving without saying anything else

"Both y'all need to, excuse me for bein' so blunt 'bout it, but loosen up, knaw what I mean?" Badaboom chimed in her party expertise. "I mean what's there tah be cut out for, do whateva ya want. Did you not notice the couple ponies jus loungin' on the couch? How about getting a drink? Socialization may be tough for some" she trailed off a bit looking to Skyla. "But you don't really seem to be having a problem out here. Not really going outta yer comfort zone if ya don't try." Badaboom then leapt from the roof, levatating for just a moment next to the other mare, but only a moment before softly touching ground.

 

"Jus' go in there and cheer for the pony singing, even if yer not a fan of the music. I'm sure she'd appreciate the compliment. Come on, ya wanna know how tah party? Ain't nopony more qualified than me to show ya how it's done!"

Skyla looks back up at the stars, considering for a moment. She flies down next to both of the mares. Time to lose that stupid fear, she thinks to herself. "Alright," she says. "I'll give it another try." She walks up to the front door and enters the house again.

"I guess I could go back in and try again" Gem Shine said as she looked back at the door before she headed back in. "Come on Gem Shine quit being all quiet and nervous and everything just...do what you want at the party like the mare said" Gem Shine thought to herself.

"Well don't all jus' barge in at once." Badaboom said to herself with a smile of self satisfaction, after the mare pair made there ways back into the home. Contemplating bucking the door in again, Boom decided against it, she definitely wasn't a one trick pony, and she was gunna show it.

 

Entering casually she pressed by the two she met outside. "Need any pointers, jus' give yours truly a shout, aight?" Boom offered, putting main focus on the second mare. "Pretty sure I didn't catch yer name. Mind's Boom, I'm sure you'll remember it."

 

With that Badaboom trotted further into the living room almost in the middle, but still off to the side to allow the pair of sibling ponies to continue their 'The Monster' duet. "Mmhmm! Jeah, you go!" She cheered again in her thunderous voice, to establish her spot back within the house.

Riley suddenly became thirsty, so he trotted over to the kitchen.

 

He poured himself a large cup of punch and downed it. Wait, isn't this the punch that I... His thoughts were suddenly cut off.

 

He stumbled back into the party. "I looooove to party! Dunt yooou, folks?" he said in a slurred voice, and he then fell to the floor.

Boom couldn't help but laugh at the pony she watched fall to the floor after announcing his own feelings of parties. His slurred speech made it apparent that he was somehow intoxicated which made Badaboom question the atmosphere. Alcohol? she mentally questioned to herself, considering finding the source for herself. It'd have to wait though as she didn't want to be rude to Skyla or the other mare. She ignored the fallen stallion for the moment, still waiting for an introduction.

Skyla looks down at the stallion that shouted and just fell. "Geez, did he have a heart attack or something?" she says. She was concerned for him, but decided with hesitation that he'll be fine. She looked over at Badaboom with a questioning look that said Does this always happen?
