The only ones I've seen were Synfig, which does not work on computers with certain processors, and Pencil, which is for traditional animation, which is very time-consuming. All of my other experiments with animation have been in GIMP and Movie Maker. You'll have to pay up for Flash, Toon Boom, or Anime Studio. I don't have them, but I hear they're expensive and update constantly, so you run the risk of being left behind. For 3D, there is SFM (which I've never used) and Blender, which is free but has an overly complex UI and a steep learning curve. It's taken years and numerous false starts for me to actually learn Blender, and I'm still at a very basic level in it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
