Mod queue not apply for Life Advice

I agree, but what if someone posts something rude that only makes the person in need feel worse?

You have a point, but the Mod Queue is there for a reason.

Life Advice is a section where users look for solving their Real Life problems, with the help and comfort of other users.

For that reason, the Mod Queue is established there.Mods have to be sure that the posts that are made on each one of the topics are targeted to solver the user's problems. That means:

-A post can't be rude. That means that your words can't be said to make the person who has troubles to feel even worse

-A post has to be related to the problem on itself, and it need to be clearly understandable.

I understand that people look for fast responses there, but if it wasn't Mod Queue,it would be a chaos, because half od the people wouldn't probably tey to help the affected person.

So,in a nutshell,Life Advice's Mod Queue should stay

Since the mod queue if I am understanding correctly is for users who have frequently broken the rules one potential risk of eliminating the mod queue for the "life advice" section would be that some users in the mod queue might abuse that in order to flame and troll people which is not good for anyone else who needs help in that section. For that reason I don't think it is a good idea to remove it completely for that section. I could maybe see it working for starting a new thread on there and responding to that but I don't know whether that would actually be possible.

If someone's on the moderation queue they're on it for a reason, and they've lost the privilege to be able to post freely without prior moderation. This should be global and apply to the entire site.

I know you aren't on the mod queue for abusive behavior, Baltoist, but many people who end up on the moderation queue exhibited that kind of deplorable behavior on a regular basis. Giving them free reign in Life Advice would be a recipe for disaster.

Additionally, I don't think it's technically possible with IP.Board's functionality to place a selective moderation queue on users. It's inherently global.

Even in that case, Baltoist, we will very likely approve of such a topic in a speedy manner, provided it isn't just a troll thread.

Since we don't leave posts hanging in the mod queue indefinitely -- in fact, we often rapidly approve or disapprove of queued posts -- there shouldn't be any concern over whether other members will have the time to respond to a topic. As SCS also mentioned, the mod queue is a global function, so it isn't technically possible to omit a section.
