Why do twilight and shining armor argue more in the comics?

first of all, god I wish there was a subforum for the comics! but now for the matter at hand/hoof. I was rereading neigh anything and I noticed that Shining Armor and Twilight get into a couple arguments as well as shining glaring at her for teasing him in his flashback which I found odd. in her song, twilight said she had never had a single fight with her brother.

I haven't read the comics myself, but if that line wasn't hyperbole, it's a damnable lie. Who the heck hasn't gotten into a fight with their siblings? How do you live with somebody that long and never argue?

thats a good question I remember hearing "We never got in a single fight" in the BBBFF song

The song, as it was the super sappy "My family is perfect and now it may end due to evil in laws" song, the line she spoke was most likely hyperbole. Songs to tend to exagerate quite a bit so this is most likely a case of that.

 

And all familys have arguments, even the glorious apple family.

Personally, I enjoy the brother/sister interaction they have. Even in the Twilight-Shining stand alone issue I didn't care if the story was cliched. They really don't spend enough time together. But siblings always get into disagreements, and it's important to point out that a disagreement is not always the same as a fight. They've seem to have gotten along well in the comic from what I've seen.

I can't really say much as to why they would argue more in the comics it is true that they cover more mature subjects than the show but sibling rivalry is something we have seen a lot of in the show with Rarity and Sweetie Belle so I see no reason why that couldn't be explored in the show as well.
