I shrugged. "It was a dream. Weird things happen. I've only met Vinyl once, really, and that was after a show she did. No adventures, spidery or otherwise. As for the toast, I deduced that the spiders were hungry, so I fed them. In my head it made exactly that much sense."

 

To punctuate my story I lightly hoist Spacer with some magic and pull her into an expert hug. "Now I am hugging Spacer as Spacer, not as somepony she is not. All is well!"

"So, colt meets mare in the middle of the forest. Colt sleeps in the same tent as mare. Colt hugs mare during a dream. Colt hugs mare again while conscious." I couldn't help it, but my laughter couldn't be held in any longer. So I lightly laughed a bit and said, "This is turning out to be an adventure already."

Somehow I both scowl and grin at Oreo at the same time. "Right you are boyo, but this is only the beginning!" I exclaim, waving Spacer over my head like a flag. "We have much more to see and do and, in my case, write! So we'd best be off, I say!" In the meantime, I also equip my saddlebags and make sure I am all packed up and ready to go.

I felt myself lift off the ground and float into Dusty for a non dream hug. I was about to protest as my face was already red from the the comment of Oreo but I was soon in the air waving back and forth.

 

I crossed my front hoofs as my body was upside down. Mane and tail flailing about. "If its okay with you Dusty, I would like to have an adventure right side up" I said chuckling a bit and trying to push myself upsright by flapping my wings.

I let go of Spacer and set her down gently. "Let's get on the road! Lots to see, ponies to meet!" I lift the tent with some magic and fold it up neatly and compactly. "Where does this go?" I ask, simultaneously stamping down the dying fire and gathering up all the camping snacks and gear.

I trotted over to Dusty with the tent bag and motion him to place it in. "Its goes in here, I'll carry the tent just in case we decide to camp out again."

 

My face was now back to normal color. I was ready to get this adventure started as well. I cleaned some of the empty bags of food. My eyes looked over to Alex and Oreo and I could now fully see themselves. They both looked like an adventure type. I think this trip will be more fun than I am thought.

We trot out of the woody clearing and back onto the road. I look around a bit. We are in the hilly regions east of Appleoosa, west of the center of Equestria. Far to the east, on a high mountain, Canterlot can be seen with its tall, gleaming spires and towers. I point a hoof in that direction. "We can make our way to the east! Land of the rising celestial bodies and culture and other interesting stuff I'm sure! I start off to the east on the trail. "By nightfall we could probably get to the outside of Las Pegasus if we, uh, hoof it."
