"Well.... it is true that it is really powerful..." He said. "I can understand why you wouldn't want it to fall into the wrong hands like you say. But, I want to know if there's anything here in Equestria like this, something that Pinkie Pie hinted at a little earlier."

"Well are there more objects like this one? From the sound of it there are several more of there emeralds out there, and if thats the case this could present a very big problem. This is due to the fact that trans-dimensional portals are very unstable ans if there are power objects coming into contact with these portals the effects could be devastating!" the princess started to look kind of worried

"Well, I don't know how they got into equestria, but if they are here, then I'm assuming I'm going to have find them all just like old times. Then I have to bring them back again just so these portals don't explode, however I'm sure as long as they don't touch the portals again they shouldn't explode

This means that the portal could become so powerful that it could bring your planet through and put it into orbit above ours! Im afraid that this may be happening as we speak so finding these emeralds is imperative"

 

"Why is finding the emeralds so important" a scratchy voice came from out of nowhere. Dash appeared behind them with a smirk on her face.

Sonic turned. "Well, according to what she" He pointed to Celestia "Is telling me that Mobius could become part of Equestria's Orbit. In simple terms. Also, it seems, that the emeralds have been weakened by the portals themselves, therefor, I need to collect all of the Chaos Emeralds and bring them back to their full power. Pinkie Pie told me you have something called 'Elements of Harmony', What are those?" He turned back to Princess Celestia. "But, how is this a bad thing? Mobius orbiting Equestria and all."

"The elements? Pch, they're nothing special. They just let us blast any creature in our way back to tartarus, no big deal" Rainbow Dash spoke before the princess could explain

 

"Ahem, right. Well does the idea of a planet that never existed in this galaxy appearing just outside our planet sound like a very good thing" Celestia broke in

"Hmmmm...." Sonic pondered. "Well, no, that doesn't sound like a very good thing at all. Plus, I need to get back home to my world, and If I need to get the emeralds to do that, then I'm going to need a place for the night to rest." He looked at Rainbow Dash. "Alright, I'll help you." He told Celestia. "But you gotta give me a couple days until I get the money from Spitfire, it seems the mayor doesn't want me leaving Ponyville until-"
"Bwaahahaha! If it isn't Sonic!"

 

"Wait a second..." Sonic turned around. "I know that voice!"

"Was there ever any doubt" the maniacal Doctor Robotnik sat in his hovercraft observing them. 

 

"Who are you?" the princess' eyes narrowed, she clearly didnt trust him.

 

"I am Doctor Robotnik, evil genius extraordinaire. This is quite the lovely planet you got here, perfect for setting up Robotropolis!" he chuckled to himself, "I'll be needing to take the chaos emerald from you now Sonic, Ive got big plans for them and you better not interfere, or else!"

Sonic looked up at him. "Hey, look! It's giant talking Egg!" He remarked. "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say, Eggman! You're not taking this Emerald from me!" 

Sonic was first to shield the Princess, seeing as how important she seemed to be. 
"Stay back, he's not safe." While Sonic was distracted Eggman used his machine to take the Chaos Emerald from Sonic. "H-hey! No Fair!"
He started to chase down Eggman, but something was stopping him. Sonic looked back to see Rainbow Dash grabbing his hand.

"Hey, lets chase him down, together!" She said excitedly.

"You sure you can keep up?" Sonic teased

 

Rainbow stuck her tongue out, "Heck ya I am, I'd never miss a chance to kick some butt" and without another word she took off like lightning after Robotnik.

 

"Wait!" Celestia called after her, "I don't have a good feeling about this"

Sonic once again caught up easily to Rainbow Dash. "You ever feel what it's like to live an adventure, Rainbow? Or are you just gonna be stuck to pushing clouds the rest of your life?" He teased her again. But boy was he feeling kind of generous towards the mare right now.

"Pushing clouds? Buck no, I always wanted to go on an adventure but I guess I never really got around to having one" she looked forward to make sure they were closing in on their target, "Do you want to stay in Ponyville to pay off the damages for the rest of your life?" She teased back, "No come on let's go get this Robuttnik guy"

"I'm down for that plan!" Sonic said to her and then Rainbow Dash let out an unexpected yelp as he grabbed her hoof. "So, do you want to know how it feels to run faster then light itself?" He asked. For as long as he's known her, he knew there was no way she was going to turn down an offer like this

"F-faster than light" her eyes just seemed to light up at the idea of going so fast, "of course I want to, just promise me you won't destroy any buildings this time" she gave him a serious look. "I just don't want the mayor to be all bent out of shape again, seeing her like that is something I only needed to see once"

"Sonic, stop pursuing me! I've got big plans, and now, I'm going to put them to work." Eggman said.

Sonic eyed Rainbow Dash. "You ready to rock?"
Rainbow Dash flexed her wings. "He thinks he can beat the two of us?"
"I like your attitude, Rainbow Dash." The chase continued into the forest.

"Lets blast through with Sonic Speed!" Sonic quickly did one of his signature Sonic Boom's, quickly accelerating to the speed of light and beyond with ease, still holding Rainbow's hoof.

"NO!" Robotnik only had a second to react before the two slammed into his pod. The speed of the collision sent him flying into the woods,  trees breaking upon impact.

 

"OH MY GODS!!" The raw speed was the best feeling Dash had ever experienced, the world around dissolved into nothingness. All that seemed to exist was Sonic and Dash .

"NO!" Robotnik only had a second to react before the two slammed into his pod. The speed of the collision sent him flying into the woods,  trees breaking upon impact.

 

"OH MY GODS!!" The raw speed was the best feeling Dash had ever experienced, the world around dissolved into nothingness. All that seemed to exist was Sonic and Dash . 

Robotnik's egg mobile landed in a soft spot in a patch of dirt. Sonic stopped in front of it and let go of Rainbow's hoof.

 

"So, Eggman, give up yet?"

 

"Hmmmmmmm..." Eggman thought. "That cyan animal seems to be important to Sonic, somehow."

 

"Alright Sonic, I give, just come here and take your Chaos Emerald back." Eggman said. Sonic walked closer and Eggman took the chance. He threw the emerald facing away from Rainbow, and once Sonic was looking that way, He pressed a button in his Egg Mobile, as the mechanical arm reached out and gripped Rainbow Dash tightly.

"I'd love to stick around and play more games, Sonic, but I have business to attend too." Sonic looked up to see the Egg Carrier in the sky, before a blue beam of light brought Eggman, and by extension, Rainbow Dash, into the ship.

"Sonic!" cried as she was abducted in the ship. She bucked and struggled, trying to free herself from the metal claws grip. "Let me go Robotnik", the scientist didnt respond.

 

"Stop struggling you mule, I want you in prime condition for the experiments Im going to conduct" 

 

"Experiments!" that word stuck terror into the normally brave pegasus, 'I have to get out of here'

"Rainbow Dash!!!" Sonic screamed, but it was too late, he couldn't fly, nor could he stop the Doctor from taking her.

"Dammit!, Dammit!!!!" He punched a tree. "Now what am I gonna say to Twilight and everyone else!? That Rainbow Dash was taken by the doctor because of my stupidity!?" He sighed once.

Robotnik piloted his pod through a line of empty prison cells. Upon reaching the one at the end he opened the cell and tossed Rainbow inside.

"Get comfortable, I'll be back for you" he promised, leaving her alone.

 

"Ive got to get out of here" Dash told herself but looking around at the solid metal walls around her she could see no way to escape. She sat on her haunches, "Ugh, I hate being the damsel in distress" she muttered sadly

Sonic continued to grieve for a little bit at the loss of Rainbow before he started making his way back towards Twilight Sparkle and the rest of her friends. 

"Twilight! Twilight!" Sonic stopped infront of them. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" He said before looking Twilight in the eyes

"Sorry for what?" Twilight asked, clearly confused.

"What is it, is everything alright?" Celestia pressed. All the ponies around Sonic began asking things all at once, nothing becoming understandable.

"Quiet!" Twilight shouted over them all, they stopped, "Where is Rainbow Dash?" She had noticed her friends absence

"R-R-r-r-r-rainbow Dash..." Sonic stuttered.

"Rainbow Dash was kidnapped by Dr. Eggman! And it's all my fault because I wasn't keeping a good eye on her!" He told them.
"I have no idea what Dr. Eggman is going to do to her, but I have a feeling it can't be good!" 
"Now, if I've known the doctor as long as I have, he's probably going to take complete control of her mind and have her fight for him..." Sonic continued.

"What?!" There was a collective gasp among the ponies

"You just let Rainbow get captured?" Applejack angrily asked.

"We can't let this creature turn Rainbow Dash evil, all the elements of harmony must be present to use them." Celestia told them

 

On the Egg Carrier Dash bucked the metal bars in a despite attempted to escape. "Come on, come on, come on!" She yelled but no matter how hard she tried nothing worked. Just before planting another kick an alarm began going off, "what's going on?" She shouted with no response
