"Thanks, Darts,"Croaks said. Then he looked to Keel and said,"Um, maybe later."

Croaks tied a sturdy stick to each side of his ankle, then tied the vine around it to keep it together and tight, making a make shift splint.

That should help it be straight, at least, he thought to himself.

Then he looks back to Darts and says, "Oh, and here's a coconut we should try to break."

Before Croaks could have a word alone with the Captain, Lovely ran over and wrapped up his ankle in a cast like thing, "stay off this or it will damage past the point of healing." Lovely looked over at Darts, "if hungry bears were really on this island, how come they haven't come and eaten us yet? We're clearly safe."

Lovely went into the shallow water to catch some fish, using her horn as a spear.

"Thanks," Croaks said to Lovely.

Croaks looked to the captain and said,"I'll go drag myself over to my bag."

"Alright then," Keel said. He pulled out the island map and gave it another look. He eyed a specific spot on the map, mainly the central mountain.

"Not sure exactly, I don't know much about bears. What if they're nocturnal? They could be waiting until night to ambush us!" Darts suggested to Lovely.

Damn, I wanted to be useful, too, Croaks thought to himself.

As soon as he got to his bag, he grabbed a water bottle and took a sip. He then brought out a cereal pack and said, "Cereal pieces, anyone? I'm really more into coconut."

Croaks looked at his watch, it was 7:45 AM.

"No, I'm good," Keel said as he put away the map. "Anyway Croaks, you were saying something?" Keel inquired.

Croaks dragged himself closely to the captain and spoke very quietly.

"I found something under my blanket back on the ship. I put it in my pocket, only to lose it. But, Lucas gave me a room key, with a normal key card. Strangely, on the lifeboat I brought out the room key, and the item was taped to it, even though it wasn't before," Croaks continued,"It's not so shocking, but I wonder why I'd even need it."

Croaks brought the item out. It was quite large. It was a knife-looking object. Not your humble kitchen knife, but a large Bowie knife. The ones that are actually meant to kill someone. Attached to it was a small, little box that has a beeping light.

"I have no idea what that is," Croaks said, "or why I need it. Thing is, I don't know if it was put there on purpose or not. That's what really scares me."

Darts eyed the small flashing light. "Maybe it's a bomb..." He stated.

Croaks looks towards Darts, "Keep it down," Croaks said, "Why would there be a bomb, though. Who would want to blow up a knife?"

Darts thought for a moment, "I don't know, who would want to blow up our ship?"

Keel took the knife-like object from Croaks and inspected it carefully for a while. "No, this isn't a bomb, but I think we should keep hold of it for now. May come in handy later," Keel said.

"Good idea captain, but what are we going to do about the bears or whatever else is on this island?" Darts asked.

Keel inspected the knife one more time. He lightly touched the tip to check if the point is sharp. He pondered something. "Stab them with this thing?" He answered.

Darts shook his head, "I know what I saw, there were at least three bears out there, and maybe more elsewhere on the island, not to mention who knows what else. One knife won't help! We need another way to defend ourselves!"

"Noted. Anyway, I think I have an idea of where to go," Keel said. He brought out the island map, pointing a hoof at the central mountain. "See this mountain? That's where we're headed." Keel announced.

Lucas shakes his head hearing the entire thing The mountain really how cliche He turns to Keel "Keel I need to talk to you alone" he said walking over to the Life boats and removing all the bags still in the life boats.

Lovely returned to the back with at least 10 raw fish she had caught, her man was soaked in salt water and she was panting, "anypony know how to start a fire?" She asked smiling.

Croaks took the object saying, "I'd like to hold on to this."

He saw Lovely come back with a whole bunch of fish on her horn, asking if anyone knew how to start a fire.

Croaks said,"I always carry matches, but they probably won't work because they're wet. But if we can find a small piece of steel and some flint then we should be fine. Thing is, where are we supposed to find that?"

Keel walked over to the lifeboats where Lucas was. "You wanted to talk to me about something?" Keel said.

"you arent serious about going up are you? It will take us days to even reach it let alone climb it!"

"Guess we'll hafta eat them raw," Lovely sighed and pulled the fish off her horn. Lovely bit into a fish and gagged a little, it wasn't what she was use to, but she needed the extra protein and beggars can't be choosers.

Lovely called the other ponies in to join in, "let's eat and then finish putting up the shelter."

Keel responded to Lucas, "I know, but there's something there that I think will be able to help up. Besides, what do you want to do, find something that could help us get off the island, or wait around for someone to float on by and pick you up?"

Lovely walked over to Keel and Lucas, "fish?" She asked handing them to fish she caught. "You're gunna wanna eat up, we need all the horse power we can get." Lovely looked at the concern faces of the two, "what's going on here?"
