Amber thought about the stallions proposition for a while before deciding that it was at least worth a shot, after all it's not like he could outrun La Soubrette in the event where she had to make a hasty departure. "One job, we'll see where it goes from there" she said holding out a hoof in agreement. "My name is Amber by the way, Captain Amber Skies, don't forget it and we won't have a problem."

But  you might have heard of my though my nickname others started to call me, Mad dog of the sea. I didn't pick it but I guess I could see where they were coming from when picking it out." He laughed which made his sharp teeth easy to see.

"Ya, I'll show you my ship. The Whirlwind is the fastest ship in the seas. " Hurricane said as she walked off Thunder's ship. As she walked down the dock, a young, brown earth pony mare with a large hoop earing on one ear and her mane tied back approached her. "Captain, when do we set sail?" she asked. "After the crew has all had their fill here." Hurricane replied with a smile. "Yes, captain. Thank you captain." the mare said with a gracious look. "Who is this?" she asked looking to Thunder.

Hurricane tensed up a little when Thunder touched her. But then relaxed a little so she wouldn't be too obvious. Then she spoke to the mare. "Paws, this is Thunder. I have agreed to form an alliance with him and his crew." Then she turned to Thunder. " This is my cabin mare, Paws. Well, that's what we call her." she said looking at the mare with a look as if they knew something Thunder didn't. They kept walking until they came up to a small ship with only seven cannons on each side. "This is my pride and joy." she said as she looked at the ship and smiled. Then she whispered in Paws' ear. "Tell the others we have a stallion aboard." she said quiet enough so Thunder wouldn't hear. Paws nodded and walked on the boat into the cabin. "Ain't she a beauty." Hurricane said to Thunder still grinning full of pride.

"Sorry, but the only mad dog I know of is my ex. Wait here, I've gotta check on some things before making any plans" Amber said before crossing the gangplank and disappearing underneath the deck of La Soubrette. Once she was sure her crew hadn't lost or broken anything important Amber rejoined the captain waiting on the dock, "Alright Gloomy, what's the plan?" she asked.

"Well... You may want to dust her off sometime soon, she looks like she hasn't seen any action in ages, but she seems fair enough for a support ship." Thunder said. He held his hoof out for Hurricane to shake. "It seems we are the beginning of a beautiful alliance."

Gloom was drinking the rest of his whiskey when Amber came back. When she did he put the bottle in his bag and pulled out a mag with a red line leading to a small island circled in red. He steps to her side so they can both see and he could point out. "Alright, This little island here is a navy storage facility where ships can dock and restock on weapons, food, water even bits along with other supplies.

 

We'll have to get a royal navy flag so the guards will think we're one of them and let us through the gates without fuss. Lucky for us I have one. But we can't use my Ship cause it's on the navy's shit list. That's were you come in. We'll use your ship to get in the gate. When we get in you take care of the guards watching over the gate. While me and a few of my crew take out the other guards one by one. When a good bit of them are gone you open the gate so the rest of my crew can bring my ship in. When we have all the supplies we'll split it up there. I'll even give you first pick.

In front of the Arcane Raiders ship, a line of ships, each with the symbol of the princesses on thier sails, starts to apoear. "Good work old friend, we need to cut them off, and if they do what I think, we will have them soon." Moving up to themain deck, Mirror Quake watches the ship. "Soon you will be mine."

Hurricane spit on her hoof and returned Thunder's gesture. "It appears we have an agreement." she said with confidence. "Come aboard and we can discuss what to chase after first." she said with a sly smile as she walked on board the ship. Her all mare crew were each disguised as stallions except for Paws. They were all working hard washing the deck and making sure everything was in proper order.

Soren's cry could be heard all around the boat. No explanation was needed.

 

"Bloody hell," Ash remarked. "Where did all of those ships come from?"

 

Blixer leaned against the ship, thinking.

 

"In all my years with the fleet," Blixer said, "never once did I see them mobilize like this. Not for one bloody pirate."

 

"Sir?"

 

"Mirror Quake was looking for me," Blixer started. "But back in Queenston he didn't know I was there. He was probably just scouring the area. So how is that an entire fleet appears in front of us?"

 

"Magic," Ash suggested. "He probably was able to send a message to the RPF fleet. Shall I turn us away Captain?"

 

Blixer shook his head. "Like I said, it's out of character for the RPF to one, send reinforcements this fast, and two, come in such numbers."

 

He scratched his face thoughtfully.

 

"Sir?"

 

"And come to think of it," Blixer continued, "Mirror Quake created images of himself back in Queenston."

 

Soren flew over to them. "Ah yes," he said. "I wonder..."

 

"I think so," Blixer concluded. He turned to Ash. "Remain on course Ash. We'll just pass right by them."

 

Ash looked uncertain for a moment, but nodded in compliance.

 

Blixer chuckled to himself. Mirror Quake's wasting all of his best tricks. Before too long he'll be out of cards to play.

"So they knew it was a trick then. Keep up the pursuit. Let him think that is all we can do. Tell the pegasisters to create small winds hidden behind the sails. We will catch them. And if they stop, even better. Dump the unnecessary loot as well. Most of it is illegal anyways. And Mirror Image, send a message to any today ships and any allied ships. tell then thatched will be awarded 3000 bits if they affect him. He'll, tell every ship you can reach. Yes. Him too, I want him to know that every pirate will be after him."

"Nay." Thunder said. "I will see if i can round up some more scallywags for our fleet. Though there is one question that burns my mind. Which of us should be the so called 'commodore' of our newly set up fleet?" Thunder asked, staying on the dock instead of going on board.

Amber looked over the maps, ideas forming in her mind. "That sounds like a good start at least. Don't worry about the flag though, I've got my own royal colors around somewhere. I was a courier for the navy before I started... well you get the idea" she said before rolling up the map and hoofing it back to Gloomfury. "When do we sail?"

"I've been sailing these seas for years. I've plundered and pillaged countless cities and towns." she boasted. "Not to mention, I can take down any pony in sword to sword combat. Do you have any objections?"

 "Now." Gloom said as he put the map back in his bag. Then he gave a loud whistle to his crew that was on his ship. Then a griffin, a very bulky earth pony and a Pegasus mare came over. "Boys, this is Amber." He said do his  crewmen as he pointed at her. "Amber this is Shamus the scout," He pointed at the griffin who nods at her. "Bruiser, the muscle. "He pointed to the large stallion who winks at her with a smile. "He likes the lads," He whispered to Amber. Then he pointed to the Pegasus mare. "And Angel, the fleet. She's the fast member of my crew." Angel smiles and waves at Amber. "They'll be helping me out with take out the guards watching over the supplies."

Amber grinned as greeted the rest of Gloomfury's crew, her eyes lingering briefly on the stallion introduced as Bruiser. She was getting the strange feeling he could see though her disguise, he didn't say anything however and instead just continued to watch her with a knowing smile. Looking away from the burly pony Amber returned her focus to the captain himself, "I hope you don't mind but there are a few more things I need to take care of before we head off. I'll meet you all back here when I'm ready" she said before turning and heading back into Queenston to pick up the last of her supplies.

 

((Sorry but I won't have much time to post over the next day or two and I don't want to hold up anyone in a stagnant conversation.))

"Well do. We'll be on my ship till you come back." Gloom called to Amber as him and the others went back on the ship to make some more preparations while they wait for Amber to come back. And maybe get a little drink or two in them while they were at it. Gloom tossed the empty whiskey bottle from his bag with a bunch of other empty bottles that were in the cargo net.

"Aye, i do have an objection. Your ship is not nearly as big as mine, it has way less cannons. A flagship should be a big and scary ship, like mine. You may be swift, which allows for surprise attacks, but in broadside fights, my chances of survival are way higher." Thunder said.

"Well then I guess there's only one way to settle this." Hurricane said with a sly smile. "Let's draw straws." She got a competitive look on her face. "Paws, fetch the straws." she commanded. The young mare ran down to the cabin and came back with two straws in a pouch with just the tops of the straws poking out. The visible parts looked at an even length, but in the part hidden in the pouch, one was shorter than the other. "Thank you." Hurricane said to Paws. "I'll draw first." she said. She scanned each straw carefully before drawing one out. It was the shorter one. "Pony feathers." she said under her breath.
