Soula walked through the everfree forest. She recently moved away from her own castle and home. She left the strongest unicorns she could in charge. She left her home for good. She knew the was not the ruler type at all. Her head went down alittle as she sighed. She had a cloak on around on her back to hide her wings. The one thing she could not hide was her height and horn. She mostly hoped that ponies would only think she had a growth spurt.

Dusk Shade stood in full armour in front of the castle of the.two sisters, which happened to be his home. He used his to summon his scythe which he quickly sliced in a circular motion clearing a large section of the forest. "So the monster thinks he has won' does he? He will soon see that I am not so easily beaten. I will tear that cursed amulet straight through his neck myself", Dusk Shade said as he sent a massive blast of magic up, raining dark magic like bits of fire that destroyed anything they hit. The trees were quickly regrown by his nature magic just to become a target once more.

Her head went up quickly as she heard the explosion, and felt the burst of magic. She quickly ran in that direction. At this point she was going around trying to help any pony she could who had been attacked by sombra's forces. Her little town was so far off that she knew it would take him a while to get there.She ran quickly to where the pony was, cutting down trees and repairing them.

 

"Um hello? Are you alright?" She said in a worried frantic voice.

"Oh, just what I need unwanted visitors. Come and die, crystal scum", he said assuming the voice came from the army of King Sombra. He slowly drew a line in the dirt to where the voice had come from erecting pillars of flame to strike the attacker if it was indeed a threat.

Soula stopped and stepped back alittle bit, watching the pillars of flame. She sighed alittle bit and slowly walked around them, attempting not to get burned.

"I am not a part of sombra's army. I am simply a nomad walking around trying to help. I heard your spell explode and simply wished to see if your alright."

"My spell was supposed to explode...that is the point of an explosion spell....at any rate, it is most unwise to travel in these dark times without ant means of defending youtself...I suggest you return home to your safe little castle, Alicorn. I have spent entirre life serving Princess Luna...the fact that you are an alicorn is plain as day. Why hide your wings? And now, please be on your merry way, I have a king to dethrone", he said coldly.

She shook her head no and held her head alittle high. "I do not plan to turn home. I came out in hopes of helping everypony when they need it, especially if they are hurt by sombra's army." Her ears went back alittle bit feeling bad for startling him."And I'm sorry for startling you."

He raised an eyebrow just slightly. "Oh, just hpw will you defend yourself? No weapons...no armour...no chance of survival. If you have none...tell me now since it seems as though you refuse to heed my warning. If you have none...I suppose I shall have to craft you some".

She shook her head no at him."I am in no need of armor. I do not fight like Luna and Celestia do. I go around, helping those that had lost limbs and the sort, after the heat of battle." She smiled gently at him."And it would appear that you are trying to find a way to take him down." She layed down near him and stared."Is there anything I might be able to do to help?"

"No. An ally who who cannot fight is more hinderence than help. You will only get yourself killed", he says with a tone of disgust. "Sonce it seems that you cannot comprehend this, healing wounding ponies isn't enough anymore. The only way to end this nightmare and truly help Equeatria is to kill King Sombra. Now, since you cannot do battle, I must insist on your immediate departure.My war begins now", he sayd his broken horn glowing black.

She shook her head no and stood up straight."I woudl suggest you wait. How long ago did you last fight Sombra?" She raised an eyebrow looking at him. Quite curious, especially since his horn was broken. And he should be unable to use magic which surprised her.  She herself knew very many fighting spells but unlike him, she could not use them for fear of herself.

"It has been centuries since we last fought. But I did not want to hurt him...I wanted to save him save from what he had become. So I was careless. I used weak spells. My attacks were...partial. But this time, there is nopony left to save. Plus, he has nothing to fight for this time. Last time he was fighting for survival. Now he is just...gone. But I still have things to fight for...Equestria, the princesses, and I suppose my own personal vendetta. The corrupted fool broke my horn. My magic was unusable for a time until I learned that my weakness was actually an advantage. My broken horn took extra magic to cast each spell. But... as I trained, I was able to drop the amount I used and now I could fight for years without overexertion. The only remaining obstacle is his amulet", he said, hiding his own in his armour.

She nodded alittle thinking about the amulet. Her parents had told her stories of sombra, and the way he made the amulet. Draining the blood from the pegasai, and the magic and blood from unicorns. She shivered the the thought of the process in which the amulet was made. She walked around alittle bit thinking. "I suppose the can attempt to trick him into taking it off but.....hm...." Her head went down alittle." I maybe unable ot fight but I can take care of the wounded. I also know the areas pretty well. I am nomadic, I have taken to learning the land well." She continued to walk around. Her head down as she was thinking."I could......no that would be bad," Her head went up, thinking about how maybe she could attempt to trick sombra with her own magic, but that would go against what she attempts to stand for.

"I need not resort to such meddlesome trickery...as I said, I shall tear the cursed amulet straight through that arogant fool's neck by my own hoof. Mt scythe will be his end", he said diminishing his weapons back to shadows. "You need not face him...you would last seconds, if that".

She raised an eyebrow at him again and shook her head."Since his defeat and his new ability to turn to shadow, theres not much you can do at this time." She walked up to him with her head high."He went about and slowly kidnapped the princesses in order to gain some sort of contorl over equestria. So you know his over arching plan right now?" She sat down infront of him, that was one thing she hadn't learnt yet, when sombra was planning, other than taking over equestria.

 Moonlight silent sat on top of a broken wall in the castle of the two sisters she didn't made much noise when she arrived though she had barely heard the alicorn and unicorns conversation  and two could probably detec her now she conjured up a magical shield and prepared herself to teleport if needed.

Dusk Shade had grown tired of being spied on...and the insolent fool was in his home of all places. He erected a wall of flames to strike the intruder. But befpre attacking, he spoke directly to her with his aura alone. "Speak thy name and speak thyne purpose here or breathe thyne final.breath".

Moonlight staggered away from the wall of flames her should would most likely block it and not hurt her at all but it can keep flames out but not the heat the heat wont kill her if her shield is on but it would be painful enough to make her lose her focus and possible make the shield dissapear.

 

She sighed and stood tall "Eh my names Daybreak but call me Moonlight if you wish as for why i'm here well i heard two ponies talking and decided to go check it out" she said before teliporting out of Dusk sight's which is behind him.though she wasn;t close enough for him to slap her with his hoof.

Soula stepped back alittle and frowned at Dusk Shade. It was quite obvious that he was not going to listen to her. So she got in his view and looked down at him with her head held high."Cease this bad attitude of yours.And quit attacking everyone that comes near you." She said in a roaring, canterlot tone, much like luna. This was something she did not like to use, but only did so if there was danger present. Because it is rare she uses it, she makes is a point to use it as a suprise. 

 

She looked at the filly who was now behind dusk shade." Little one are you alright?" She raised her eyebrow. Her wings were still covered. Showing that she was an alicorn was hte last thing she wanted.

"I do not fear being hollared at, alicorn. You will need another means of bending me to will. I only attacked because she invaded my home...this castle is my home. A pony entering it without my direct permission is an invader of my home. Now then, I have an army to shatter".

She hissed at Soula "do not call me a little filly " she said before looking at Dusk again "well i have an army to shatter too and that's King Sombra's army of slaves " she said stretching her bat wings before grinning at Dusk "i take it you aren't a fan of Sombra either?"

Soula stared down at him and shook her head no."This castle belongs to the sisters, not you."She walked passed him and stared up at the sky."You will not be able to shatter his army so easily. They are trained to fight, and not only that, he has made them high resistance to most magic." She sighed alittle bit." Physcial damage is about all you can do, but even considering that there is still only so much you can take on." She turned her head to look at him."Do you understand me?" She frowned alittle bit."about the only magic that will work on them is dark. Simply because sombra would not expect it. I hope you have some sort of ability to use it" She put her head down alittle, knowing that she specialized in it. But still had fear os corrupting herself. Dark magic was not something to take lightly, escpecially if your weak minded.

"Know your place, insolent alicorn fool. I live here under request by Prinvess Luna herself. And as for dark magic, I have studied dark magic my entire life. Just wait and see, his army will break before my horn and under my hooves", he said, his eyes filled with hatred and he pulled out his amulet. "And if I see that victory is not possible by myselff, the the void will end him".

She stared at him. "Do  you really think a darker self will manage so?" She raised an eyebrow.  She frowned alittle and sighed. "Look, instead of going about this head on you  need to think. I can go ahead and spy on his army, and let you know what I find. Just be patient please" She began walking away." There is no need to protect htis castle anymore, if you wish to find some place to stay, I can lead you to my place of residence."

"This castle is my home...I have lived here since I was a colt. I will not abandon it...as long as it stands, it remains a beacon of hope for the retirn of princesses. At least..it does to me", he said casting a complicated series of spells on the forest and castle both. "But...it can fend itself now. Let us be on ourway".
