planning The Elements of War (planning)

Warrior Dark Void

Recommended Posts

I have an idea for a roleplay, but I would like to make sure that people will be interested before posting the actual roleplay. My idea is that: as we all know, each of the mane six represents an element, kindness, loyalty, etc. What I have in mind for the roleplay is that in every pony, there is a hidden element, and in the current time of war, the more elements revealed, the more powerful equestria's defenses will become. Each character is somepony on the battlefront, whether a medic, soldier, tactician, blacksmith, etc. As the RP progresses, each will discover their element through what they do.

So, if you like my idea or have tips, please post them here. If I can get at least 5 people for the RP, I will post it. I will have a max of 10 people if we can get that far.

Fair enough. If this turns into a roleplay, you can be that. Just... Don't make yourself OP. You can be the element of death, just don't go over the top.

If this gets to be a roleplay, I'm gonna be my avatar (without the wings) with the element of destruction. (Not all physical destruction, emotional too as he had to make his own mother forget his existence and extinguish far too many lives.)

I would love to be the medic or tactician, which ever you choose. It sounds like a great idea!

As a U.S. Army vet of fourteen years, I'd be interested in following this, maybe not full on participate, but follow the thoughts, imaginations, and ideas that everypony brings to the table; if you are able to get the Pony's needed. I'd also be more then willing to offer any supportive ideas, themes, or simply, whatever you think you may need or want to add to this impressive adventure. I've played RPG's throughout my life (mostly paper: Rifts, Robotech, etc)...One of the few things in my life, I really enjoy deeply; which is, I think, why I'm "addicted" to Warhammer 40,000- since 1987...lol

Oh my gosh, this would be absolutely PERFECT for my OC! If you read my background story, you'll see that the whole reason he lives in Equestria now is because of war. My OC knows much about war, especially the teamwork aspect of it. I'm sure his element of war would be "Numbers", as in, the amount of soldiers you have. He knows that a single soldier alone cannot do much, but an army of millions can be DEVESTATING. He should know, because his soldiers consist of some of the tiniest creatures. But, although tiny, they can cause fear in many when encountered in swarms. And he is very skilled in using them in battle. He knows how to use them for both offense, and defense.

Also, my character is neither a hero, or a villain. He is neutral.
He doesn't fight for the good guys because it's the right thing to do or whatever; He only fights against the bad guys if
1: The enemy is a direct threat to him
2: The enemy is a direct or indirect threat to his island (Homeland)
3: The enemy harms the people he cares about (which is few, because, since he spent most of his life growing up with nothing but bugs, he doesn't have much interest in befriending other ponies), or
4: Twilight Sparkle forces him to.

I have an army of trillions. My soldiers are everywhere. They are even beneath your hooves right now.
I have the most abundant military in the world, capable of causing mass destruction to your homes, crops, and friends.
 What do YOU have?

Alright, that's three! Just remember to choose some element. I would recommend you say it in this thread, just so someone else doesn't take it

I can't really think of an element that isn't cheesy :) I'll post it when I think of it, though.

Oh, now this, I would like a piece of.

http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/vorrin-lacrev-r7005

For vorrin, I'd like to take the element of conviction. He takes no pride in what he does, but he realizes that someone has to do it and it might as well be him.

He is well suited to being a personal bodyguard or an assassin due to his talents

( he can materialize and hide in shadows, even shadows of other ponies, making him a great unseen bodyguard, can materialize his own shadow to fight alongside him, etc. these powers have their limits, of course, as light can dissolve shadow and using this power puts axing strain on his body.)

In this world, is the destiny of mankind controlled by some transcendental entity or law? Is it like the hand of God, hovering above? At least it is true, that man has no control... Even over his own will.

Alright, that's four. And paragrunt, thank you. Your help will be appreciated and if you at any time wish to join in, please feel free to.

I'll see if I can get an OC done up sometime soon; I wouldn't mind giving this a try, sounds like a lot of fun...
