Amethyst Shine 15 August 10, 2014 Share August 10, 2014 So, I tried to post my signature in my Signature Settings and it keeps saying Error. I tried multiple image posting websites, including tumblr.com, postingimg.org, and imgur.com. None of them work. Help? "Purple is a magnificent color, don't you think?" Amethyst Shine 15 August 10, 2014 Author Share August 10, 2014 Sure, here it is: I used imgur.com with uploading my signature, so what's wrong? "Purple is a magnificent color, don't you think?"
Lightwing 12,973 August 10, 2014 Share August 10, 2014 First of all,is your signature of the correct size? You're a normal user,so the signature rules for you are the following: -Up to 1 image -A max size of 600x100 pixels -Up to 5 URLs -Up to 15 lines of text If you break any of those rules, then you can't upload your signature. My recommendation would be to review again what are you triyng to post, and to see if it meets all those rules. ~~ Forum Rules - Forum FAQ - What do you think of me? ~~
HopeTheWanderer 121 August 10, 2014 Share August 10, 2014 I can confirm that I've been having the same problem that Amethyst mentioned. "It is part of a good man to do great and noble deeds, though he risk everything." - Plutarch "As long as humans continue to be the ruthless destroyer of other beings, we will never know health or peace. For as long as people massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, those who sow the seed of murder and pain will never reap joy or love." - Pythagoras, Greek philosopher, ca. 530 B.C. Amethyst Shine 15 August 10, 2014 Author Share August 10, 2014 Regular members on MLPForums, such as you and me, can only upload 1 image to their signature that is 600x100 pixels. The image you're trying to upload may be too large. If you don't know the precise size of the image, you can open the image in Paint and resize it if needed. It is 600x100 pixels. -Up to 1 image -A max size of 600x100 pixels -Up to 5 URLs -Up to 15 lines of text It does not break any of those rules. "Purple is a magnificent color, don't you think?" Lightwing 12,973 August 10, 2014 Share August 10, 2014 Sure, here it is: download.png I used imgur.com with uploading my signature, so what's wrong? Are you sure that you're using Imgur to upload your signature? Imgur is an accepted site, and it shouldn't give you problems. But it can also be what I said before: First of all,is your signature of the correct size? You're a normal user,so the signature rules for you are the following: -Up to 1 image -A max size of 600x100 pixels -Up to 5 URLs -Up to 15 lines of text If you break any of those rules, then you can't upload your signature. My recommendation would be to review again what are you triyng to post, and to see if it meets all those rules. If your signature is too big,it can probably proc that message, but about that,i'm not 100% sure. Try with another site, just to confirm if it is Imgur,or is,in fact, something wrong about your signature. ~~ Forum Rules - Forum FAQ - What do you think of me? ~~
long gone 8,929 August 10, 2014 Share August 10, 2014 @@Amethyst Shine, This error is sometimes caused by having something other than .jpg, .png, .gif, etc. at the end of the image link. Can you give me the exact image links you're trying to use? As she said, this error is caused by having an image saved in a format other than .jpg, .png, or .gif. What is the image you're trying to use as your signature saved as?

HopeTheWanderer 121 August 13, 2014 Share August 13, 2014 Trust me, the images I tried to use are within the bounds of 600x100 and are always in the .png and .jpg format. Yet i get an error saying the image was too large.
