"I don't do much really besides read, and there are still allot of books that are a mystery to me in my library, but sometimes somepony needs my help. Usually its Cherilee, the Mayor, Times or Mr and Mrs. Cake" She said still trying to keep a fake smile. It slowly began to change into a real smile.

"That's nice. At least you get to spend your time doing things that you actually enjoy doing", he said now sounding bitter. "All I get to do is mindlessly obey the commands and orders of Princess Luna and mostly Celestial....actually its all Celestial now that I think about it",.

"Do you ever get a break, or a vacation?" She asked "and what exactly do you like to do?" She asked him, her smile was now an actual real smile. Since they weren't at the school yet so she pulled down the hood on her cloak and looked forward. She thought to herself.

"Break? Vacation? Yeah right. She gives me constant work to do so she can be sure that my hive isn't plotting an attack or something like chrysalis did. That wayI have no time to myself", he said spitefully. "As for things I like to do, all I really enjoy is practicing my magic and flight so can help ponies that need it".

"Have you ever tried giving her direct proof that your Hive isn't plotting an attack? You could try signing a peace treaty..." She said before looking at him. " also I have a question about your hive... well all changelings, Are they able to speak or are you and chrysalis the only ones that can speak, some of my friends that were in Canterlot during the siege said that none of the changelings ever spoke..."

"Most changelings communicate through screeches and hisses. They are releyively simple creatures to be honest. So no, Chrysalis and I are the only changelings capable of speaking language", he said before thinking about her direct proof idea. "And I did sign a peace treaty...three in fact. Plus, o taught her all the commands I use on my hive and gave her the location of my hive as part of her treaties", he said nimbly.

"So you signed 3 peace treaties... and she still thinks you may attack..." Shadow facehoofed before saying "Have you tried a non-aggression pact, which means that each side is not allowed to attack each other... maybe that will fix things..." She said before lowering her hoof.

"I signed two of those...I seriously have begun thinking she is just insane. My hive dies not eat love so what reason do we really have to invade anyway? Appearently we want to attack just for the fun of it I guess", he said in a slightly irritated tone he hadn't meantvto use with her.

"Calling her too cautious is an understatement at this point..." Shadow said before turning left, "The school is straight ahead..." She said before pulling her hood up again, covering her eyes. "You can go and do what Celestia needs you to do, or if you want to, you can come with me the rest of the way."

He decided to follow her the rest of the way. It would piss off Celestia that was soo late and that thought brought him pleasure. "Ill walk with you the rest of the way if its all the same to you", he said still walking with her to the school. "Ill head back here to Ponyville once I finish whatever she needs done".

"I'm okay with you coming with me the rest of the way..." She said before smiling at him. She looked forward and said "So, what do you think she will have you do..." She looked at him and tripped, when she stepped into a indent in the dirt. "ow..." She said before standing back up.

"You okay", he asked before blasting the ground flat where it had tripped her. "Probably some stupid errand like delivering mail she could easily mail with magic", he sighed before checking that the ground would remain flat and not trip again. (He has a small temper as the dirt just learned).

(XD Ha! take that dirt!)

"Yeah, I'm fine... thank you" He said before brushing herself off. "That happens allot... I'm just happy I didn't sprain  my ankle... which has happened multiple times."  She said before smiling. She felt where he had flattened the ground, "wait how did you do that? Wasn't there just an indent there?"

"I shot it with my magic", he said quietly. "I do happen to have wings and a horn underneath this disguise...oh. I didn't think that through", he said as he had forgotten that he was disguised as a Pegasus pony and therefore should not have had any magical capabilities.

"Well lets keep walking, I don't want to continue to keep Cherilee waiting" She said before smiling and continuing to walk. "so, what did you do before you went rouge from Chrysalis's hive" She asked him.  She pulled her hood back up, because it came off when she tripped.

"Nothing...I left at an extremely young age....just refused to follow her and devour the love from innocent ponies. That's why I almost starved to death until the Old Man created his nourishment spell that saved my minuscule life", he said continuing to walk with her.

"How old exactly?" She asked, if her counting of her footsteps were correct. The school should be in view now. She looked at him and said "Tell me when we get to the school, alright?" She smiled at him and looked forward again and thought to herself, something felt different.

"Old Man Dusk Shade is over a thousand years old thanks to Princess Luna. The school is just ahead by the way. I can see it from here, Shadow", he said lightly strevhing a wing over her not sure wheather he should wrap it over her or not, which he eventually decided not to.

"I meant how old were you when you went rouge." She said before chuckling "I should have been more specific...." 

 

She walked up to the school and knocked on the door and Cherilee opened it. "Oh hello Shadow, are you here to drop off the books?" Cherilee said. Shadow nodded "Yes, here they are" Shadow said before pulling the books from under her cloak and gave them to Cherilee.

"Oh. I wasn't even three when I left. To be honest, I was barely even over two years old atvthat point", he said as Shadow handed Cherilee the Braille books. "Hey..I should probably go take care of that thing we were talking about", he said before taking off in the direction of Canterlot.

"Bye!" She said to him before he left. She looked at Cherilee "So who is the new student?" Shadow asked. Cherilee looked at the books and said "His name is Silver, he became blind after..." Shadow stopped her, "Let me guess... His Optic Nerve was damaged. " Cherilee raised an eyebrow "How did you know!?" Shadow smiled "My Optic Nerve never developed correctly..." Cherilee nodded and asked "Okay... also I have a question... Who was that?" Shadow was unsure how to respond... She needed to think of a name...

He landed in front the throne room where he always met the Princess and marched right past the guards in the form of Discord just for laughs. He reverted to his true form once in the chamber and bowed respectfully to Celestia who merely told him he was to deliver a parcel to Sadfle Arabia and sent him out.

"His name is... Mistral... His name is Mistral..." She said before saying " Well I have to get home." Cherilee waved goodbye before Shadow began walking home. She began to think about Hivemind but shook her head and began thinking about something else

(OOC-yeah its Saddle Arabia...I'm just tired and having bad memory of ponyfication of words).

 

He teleported to Saddle Arabia and back just to be sent to The Crystal Empire with another parcel. He returned and headed down to the Evergreen Forest to feed with his nourishment spell after Celestia's pointless errands.

Once Shadow got home she went up stairs and laid down on her bed. She laid on her side and stared at the wall. She used her magic to open a drawer and pulled out a small book and a quill. She used the quill to start writing braille in the book. The book was her 'diary'. Once she finished she closed the book and put it away and locked the drawer.
