Hivemind was walking toward Shadow's house, he saw her walking our and away with a stallion and decided to just head back the other way, deciding to pretend that he had not even went over to her house so he wouldn't cause her Amy trouble while she was with her friend.

Times had two rolled up tents on his back along with other bits of camping gear.

 

Shadow walked along side Times as he whistled a tune. She smiled and asked "So... which route are we going this time?" She looked towards him. "Well, not the route we took last weekend..." Times said. Shadow nodded, "Yeah... you should make sure that there is ground below you before you take a step...."

Hivemind went to the park to relax but something kept nagging at him in the back of his mind, but he chose to ignore it. He wound up falling asleep in the shade of a tree, still in disguise. He had no dreams and when he woke up to a squirrel crawling over his chest, he took off for the Everfree.

Shadow and Times had stopped, "Why are we stopping?" Shadow asked. "Well... We are maybe, kinda, slightly, somewhat..... Lost." Times said. Shadow facehoofed and said "Well that is the...." She began to count in her mind "12th time we got lost, you have gotten hurt 9 times,  and we just turned back 5 times. So we have attempted this 36 times, and we have never made it to Winsome Falls. This is why I tell you to ask Applejack for the route she took." She said. She couldn't see it but she knew Times was shaking his head "No.... I will find my own route!" Shadow chuckled "How about next weekend, we just go to where we went in high school. I wonder how much it has changed?" She said. "But its so far away...." Times said before laughing.

Hivemind headed over to Zecora's hut to pay her a visit to kill some time now that he had tons of free time. He left her home after a couple of hours and headed to the library to help Twilight sorting and reorganizing the books and stayed there for a while reading a book on dark magic that had been hidden another book.

(well that took a while....)

 

Shadow had went back to her home once, she and Times got back. Times had went home, and Shadow was upstairs in her room, laying down. She almost fell asleep a couple times but kept waking back up a few minutes later. She was just laying there, 'staring' at the ceiling.

Hivemind returned to Ponyville without any real plan as to what to do. He really didn't want to bother Shadow though he admittedly did want to go see if she was home. "No...I've bugged her enough for a while", he said to himself and just proceded to walk around the town to try and kill time.

After a while Shadow finally fell asleep for more than a couple minutes. She still only woke up after 30 minutes and she stopped trying to fall asleep. Usually it was really easy for her because sound and touch are the only senses that can keep her awake. She left her room

Hivemind decided he would head back to Shadow's but use the form of her friend that he had seen her with earlier. Before knocking however, he realized that would likely be more problamatic then just visiting her as himself or at least just going to her house as himself.

Shadow went into her library, she walked along the shelf feeling the books. She found one and grabbed it. She left her library and was going to go down stairs.

 

(Here it comes)

As Shadow was walking down the stairs, she skipped a step, but this time she wasn't able to catch herself. She tripped and fell down the stairs. She screamed for a short moment before tumbling down. When she hit the floor it made a loud bang. She was knocked unconscious...

Hivemind heard the scream and the bang from outside the door. "Shit", was all he said before blasting the doorknob off and pushing the door open, not caring that he had used the magic disguised as a Pegasus or that he was breaking and entering. He saw her unconscious at the bottom of the stairs. "Damn it", he said before putting her on his back using his magic to levitate slightly above him and teleporting to the hospital.

[A few hours later]

 

Shadow woke up, she went from one darkness to another but this one she was comfortable with.

 

She was in a hospital bed, her right front leg, her right back leg were in a cast and she had bandages on the top of her head where she had hit it when she hit the floor.

 

Shadow put her hoof to her head "ow... what happened?" Her hoof her when she moved it and she quickly lowered it. "Ow..." She was actually kind of scared by the fact that she woke up in an unknown place and her leg and head were in pain. She felt around and began to record her surroundings. 'I'm in a bed... its clearly not my bed, because mine is memory foam and this one has springs.' She felt her head and she felt the bandages.

[A few hours later]

"How are you feeling, Shadow? Besides the obvious pain, I mean", Hivemind asked as he was sitting by the doorway. "I think you fell down your stairs, judging by your injuries and the thud I heard before I broke your door down", he said looking at her wondering if he was going to be any help at all.

Shadow noticed that Hivemind was in the room "I'm fine, thank you... and you broke my door down?" Shadow asked before putting her hoof on the headboard, it had a carving in it, it was sanded down so it could no long be read but it made Shadow smile slightly knowing that it was there, it meant that she was in the same hospital room that she was in the first time she had been put in the hospital and every time afterwards, either it was just a coincidence or it was intentional, she didn't really care, it made her happy. She put her hoof to her head again when it began to hurt.

 

(I thought your post where he planned to take out a doctor was strange...)

(I was kinda half asleep and thinking of a seperate roleplay on a different site when I posted that, sorry).

 

Hivemind just looked down at the floor. "Um..yeah, I sort of did. But ill get it fixed for you, I promise. And I only did it to make sure you weren't dead or something. I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't heard you crash down the stairs, sorry I invaded your privacy", he said apologetically.

"I guess its okay this time, since it was an emergency and don't worry about getting it fixed, I will handle that." She said with as smiled. Her left eye was slightly closed, a sign that she was trying to deal with the pain. It felt like somepony was stabbing her head with hundreds of small needles. She laid here head on the pillow an 'looked' at the ceiling.

 

(Its okay...)

"No. I broke it..ill pay to get it fixed. Its no problem", he said seeing her lying in pain and hating that she was hurt. "If you don't mind, I have a spell that might help you a bit

...its a numbing spell that should make the pain a bit less painful at least...hopefully more bearable".

"Alright... I can take the pain any longer." Shadow said, knowing that she probably woke up earlier than planned. She looked in Hivemind's direction. "I have a question... how long did the nurse or doctor say it will be until I'm up and running again."

 

(probably 4 weeks to a couple months.)

He cast his spell in silence bringing his horn to the injured areas lightly. "About a month...maybe a little more, maybe a little less, so you're gonna be stuck here a while..sorry", he said figuring getting a unicorn to fix her up with a spell would cause more trouble than it wad worth. "Is there anything you're going to want or need, like your books or something"?

She frowned at the fact that she was going to be stuck here, She would need somepony to look after her home, but she didn't know Hivemind well enough to trust him with that. "hmm... if it isn't to much trouble, can you get a book for me. Its black, and has a lock with a small key hanging from it. It should be in my room, and please don't open it..." She said to him, with a smile.

Hivemind heard her say the book was black and frowned. "No offence but how can you possibly know that the book you're sending me after is black...you know what, don't worry about it, ill be right back with your weird locked book as soon as I find it", he said teleporting to her house and heading to her bedroom. He grabbed the book and teleported back to her hospital room. "Here you go", he said handing it to her.

She took it and looked at it, moving her hoof across the cover, it had the word 'Diary' in braille on it. "I know that its black because my uncle bought it for me when I began living with him, I have had it since I was 9 and even after I moved out, I still use it." She said "Its really special to me, thank you for getting it for me" She said before smiling.

"No problem. Least I could do..especially since I went and smashed your front door down. Oh yeah..its fixed by the way, so you don't have to worry about your house being broken into", he said hovering slightly as he counted the dots on the book mentally and pieced together what it said. "Oh...".

She felt the lock and the sides of some of the pages "Oh and thank you for not opening it... even though I doubt that you could read anything inside it.... no offense." She said before placing the book under her pillow for safe keeping, until she had some privacy to write in it.
