gaming Anybody here played OFF and can solve my issue?

So Ive having a slight issue with OFF recently. I just did the Boxxer's Adventure segment of the game, and suddenly battles and controls are all wonky.

 

Firstly, Before my controls were Z and X, for Proceed/Interact and Back, respectively. Now it's suddenly Z and Alt. Very annoying.

 

Secondly, Battles have a habit of "Freezing" after enemies use competency. It'll just sit there until I hit Alt, which will take it back tot he main battle menu. Also very annoying.

 

Is there any way to fix these issues?
