gaming Metroid Discussion: What exactly leads to Hopping Metroids?

This kind of seems like a pointless topic but this is something that is only lightly touched on. Some things as clear cut. The natural evolution of Metroids is one which is very clear cut. In fact Metroid 2 dedicated a whole game to the natural evolution of Metroids. That same Evolution is revisited briefly in Metroid Fusion.

But now let's talk Phazon. For those of you who only know a bit about the series or at least the Metroid Prime series, this may peak your interest a bit. Now there is various off shoot evolutions that are fairly clear cut but the question is where Hopping Metroids come into play. As they are seen to come from pure Phazon. Is it possible that it's phazon enhanced eggs? Or is there a more arbitrary explanation? The most clear cut part of the evolution shown was Miniroids turning into Phazon Metroids, but from there it seems unknown. The chart on the far top of this topic shows the Phazon Metroids turning into Hopping Metroids or even a Various Version of Metroid Prime.
 

The way I see it is that the Hopping Metroids are more possibly an off shoot of Hunter Metroids. think about it. Hunter Metroids suck life from afar and even when it comes down to it will ram into you. The Hopping Metroids simply jump after you doing damage. Is it possible that if we follow the theory of the Metroid Hatcher that Hopping Metroids come from a Metroid Hatcher and with hold it's aggressiveness. For a physical attacking? Meh, It's just a thought. What do you think?
