Heya, just thought of some random things to ask, so I thought I would just ask for your opinions on them.

 

 

- Is it better to actively seek out other bronies, or just wear that Fluttershy shirt (Dont fight over this) until you find someone out there?

 

- Does simply being a brony seem to reduce the amount of hostile reactions to situations for you?

 

- Are other bronies more favourable to talk to in certain situations? If so, then what situations would you prefer talking to a brony than anyone else you trust/know?

I think it all depends on opinion but...

Only if you want you can seek out other bronies.

1. Wearing a pony shirt is a good way to find bronies which is something I can personally attest to but for those that wish to avoid dirty looks and possible bullying there are more subtle options like shirts with ponies in human forms, shirts with their cutie marks or shirts with characters only bronies would be familiar with like Discord or Tirek.

 

2. For the most part it has had no effect, I have gotten occasional WTF looks from people from wearing pony shirts but for the most part there is no effect though much of this has to do with the fact that I don't go out of my to advertise it for the most part but I also don't go out of my way to hide it.

 

3. Talking about the show is an obvious one but there are plenty of other subjects as well so for the most part it is the same for me.

1. It really depends on the location of where you live in my opinion. I come from a small country town, where I doubt that another brony even exists. For me, trying to find others online would be a better option. However, when I go to the city for example, I see a bunch of people wearing MLP merchandise, so I think it would be good to wear something like that in a city where you are more likely to find people with similar interests.

2. When I first came out I got a lot of horrible reactions to it, people would bully me and I could never hang out with them if I talked about it or even slightly mentioned it. But now that I've moved, I notice a lot more people I meet are happier about it, even if they aren't bronies.

3. Probably when talking about the whole show in general. Whenever I try to talk to people that don't know the show very well, it's really hard to keep up a conversation. I'd probably also say anything geeky in general, as I find that the people I know that are bronies often tend to be into other nerdy things, like Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Lord Of The Rings, etc. And of course whenever we get an episode with a Derpy appearance, theres nothing quite like talking to your brony friend and freaking out about it together and smiling!

well the best way to identify a Brony is if somepony or yourself is wearing merchandise from MLP if you see somepony wearing anything MLP then you should talk to them unless you are quiet like me then do the vice versa and wear MLP stuff

 

being a Brony actually brings more hate though I have never had somepony walk up to me in person and call me a faggot because no pony really knew me other then I'm beyond quiet and I'm a Brony but you should never be afraid to show what you represent

 

most Brony will discuss the show with if everypony is a Brony or Pegasister some will always discuss it with you, as for me I will discuss it with you anytime as long as you keep your voice down its not that I don't want people knowing I'm a Brony I just don't like it when your conversating and someone starts shouting

I'd say seeking out other Bronies.

I've been less angry since I've been a brony, if that is what you're asking.

If the choices are a random brony, or one of my brothers, always my brothers.

I have even found my close friends to be a bronies without even knowing for some years.

 

I say just let it happen, you'll find someone eventually, it can be the person you least expect. I don't think seeking anyone out is the way to go, but that's just my personal opinion.

I don't really find myself in hostile situations all too often. I'd say it hasn't had any kind of effect on that kind of thing. The reasons people get hostile towards me and vice versa has nothing to do with being a brony.

Mostly the friends that I have that are bronies don't even talk about MLP in general, but generally I've found a lot of bronies to be more open and understanding than some others. Usually if something is troubling me, yes I will confide more in my brony friends! That's not to say I shouldn't treat any other friends of mine differently!
