LordDiscord 289 October 1, 2014 Share October 1, 2014 (edited) As we all know, Twilight Sparkle has befriended the human versions of her Ponyville friends, but I have to question, couldn't this become worrisome to the (Pony) Mane 5? In the human world, the human versions of Twilight's friend act identically to her pony friends with very few differences. Couldn't they technically be seen as replacement from Twilight's original friends? I mean, if Twilight ever did something that was unforgiveable to her Ponyville friends then she could just run off to her Canterlot High friends and it would be like nothing changed besides her species. Wouldn't any of you worry if your friend was able to go to a alternate dimension to ours and befriended that dimensions version of yourself and that version was identical to yourself other than them being a different species, would you not get a feeling that your being replaced and are now just a backup friend in case the friendship with your alternate self does not work out or vice versa. If their is a Equestria Girls 3 I think this would make a excellent problem that Twilight has to overcome, by convincing her (Pony) friends that she isn't trying to replace them. I mean in Rainbow Rocks they did seem kind of disappointed that they could not go. How many more times can Twilight go into this new world and leave her Ponyville friends behind before they start feeling like she cares more about this new world (that they are not even allowed to see or experience) than she does them. BookwormGomez 50 October 2, 2014 Share October 2, 2014 Honestly. A good thought, but knowing the consequences it is understandable for them not to go with twilight this time in RR. For as Celestia said in first EG film it could bring unbalance in the universe.
Spagem 505 October 2, 2014 Share October 2, 2014 Nah, actually... Twilight spends a lot more time with her pony friends than human ones. She's only been over to the human world twice. If it started becoming a lot more frequent, sure, I'd say they can worry. But as of right now... no.

If it started becoming a lot more frequent, sure, I'd say they can worry. But as of right now... no. Well she can now enter into the human world whenever she wants now, so it would not be to absurd to believe that she may wish to see them from time to time without some evil creature banished from Equestria trying to destroy their world. But its not so much the frequency but the thought that the (Pony) Mane 5 has creatures from a alternate universe that not only match their personalities perfectly but are also connected to Twilight like they are. Even if they are not worried per say, it should still be a somewhat unnerving thought.
Slice0Pie 815 October 3, 2014 Share October 3, 2014 Hm, good point, but I don't think Twilight would ever leave her pony friends, and I don't think the Mane 6 won't have to worry much
LordDiscord 289 October 3, 2014 Author Share October 3, 2014 Honestly. A good thought, but knowing the consequences it is understandable for them not to go with twilight this time in RR. For as Celestia said in first EG film it could bring unbalance in the universe. In all honesty is there proof that it would? Celestia herself even admitted that she did not know much about this new world so there is a possibility that she is wrong, I mean after all Twilight has been to this world twice and nothing has happened, and there is evidence that there is another Twilight in that universe. I could see the situation confusing but I doubt the universe would be destroyed or fall into chaos if Twilight's friends followed her through, and it isn't exactly like she has to keep her being a pony from a alternate universe a secret to the students of the school so explaining why there are two versions of the Mane 5 is not that hard for her to explain. Hm, good point, but I don't think Twilight would ever leave her pony friends, and I don't think the Mane 6 won't have to worry much Oh I don't believe she would. This is from the perspective of Twilight's friends and how they may react if Twilight continues to enter this new world and leaving them behind. Even if its for a good reason, it should still be annoy that they can't be their to back up ''their'' friend.

HereComesTom 2,268 October 3, 2014 Share October 3, 2014 My feeling about this is that Twilight knows who her original friends are, and she knows she belongs on the pony-side of that portal. I haven't watched all of EQG, but I'm guessing it never came up that she ascended up the food chain by traversing the portal, but if it had, I bet it would've made her uncomfortable. Though...maybe her Ponyville friends don't know that. But they trust her a lot (remember episodes like It's About Time), so I doubt they'd freak out. Besides, her human friends may have liked her and loved her, but they're not the same friends she spent a year growing with on adventure after adventure in Ponyville, and her Ponyville friends know that much! Just the thought alone of someone just like me in an alternate world would be unnerving. Edited October 3, 2014 by Megajack

She's a perfectionist, and she wouldn't rest until things are good again Oh I don't doubt that Twilight wouldn't abandon them, but through their eyes, they may see differently. I mean if your friend had the ability to a alternate world and hangs around a alternate version of yourself and you are never allowed to go to this new world, would you not feel some concern. Even if your friends overall personality toward you has not changed, the thought that you could technically be "replaced" is definitely unnerving. HopeFul 122 October 3, 2014 Share October 3, 2014 This is why they need to go with her in the 3rd movie. Oh gosh. Could you imagine 2 Pinkie Pies together? O-O I think they trust Twilight. Pinkie Pie has been the only one so far to dread her friends not wanting anything to do with her (unless you count Rarity in the comics). Pinkie Pie was also the one in both realms really wanting to travel to the other one. I could see her possibly getting a little worried, but they all love and trust Twilight. She's also a princess with duties now. I could NEVER see her abandoning her friends for the human ones, and if I think this way, I'm more than certain her friends do too. Plus, we watched the Sirens try to break and use the magic of friendship. Imagine if there were 2 of each character. Goodness...Canterlot High would probably get WAY more damage than just a destroyed entrance. Too much magic in one place.
Singe 2,111 October 3, 2014 Share October 3, 2014 Twilight could have an issue where she's living a double life and starts to mix her pony life with the human life.
HopeFul 122 October 4, 2014 Share October 4, 2014 (edited) Twilight could have an issue where she's living a double life and starts to mix her pony life with the human life. I could see her doing that. Kinda makes me want to watch an episode with her going back and forth through the portal. Maybe she got invited to a Pinkie Pie party in both worlds or is really needed in both worlds at the same time, so she darts back and forth, mixing up things and irritating her friends a little. Thus bringing about a friendship lesson. Edited October 4, 2014 by HopeFul

Nulln 755 October 4, 2014 Share October 4, 2014 no... Twilight can't even function as a human. Her special talent is magic, and that is completely gone in the human world. and her friends have more faith in her than that, i'm sure. the humans don't have all the memories and experiences that the ponies share with twilight.
