Shadowking58 1,137 October 3, 2014 Share October 3, 2014 After seeing the first movie I was skeptical about Sunset, but... I can't believe that I'm saying this, but Sunset Shimmer is best redeemed villain in my eyes. The way she was written in Rainbow Rocks was excellent, and I'm sure there are some others who feel this way. Darker 1,351 October 3, 2014 Share October 3, 2014 I'm pretty sure she is. She was much more threatening than Discord in the ending of EqG, and that is very impressive. I mean, who would have ever thought that a clumsy demon teenager with a zombie army would be more intimidating than a reality-warper chimera? Meh, I like Sunset better anyway. Spagem 505 October 3, 2014 Share October 3, 2014 (edited) I complete agree. Sunset Shimmer is the best redeemed villain. I mean, who would have ever thought that a clumsy demon teenager with a zombie army would be more intimidating than a reality-warper chimera? You make Discord sound lame... Then again, he kind of is... never really liked him. Edited October 3, 2014 by Megajack

He kinda is, though. I mean, who gets beaten the same way twice?! Jeric 46,860 October 3, 2014 Share October 3, 2014 Applejacks and Aunt Oranges my friend. I love what they did with Sunset - but I have to fill in the gaps in between films. We have yet to see Discords full story play out though we see storyline in between the redemption catalyst and the redemption. We are missing the post redemption arc. And then there is Luna. All three have different structural approaches. Only one is complete. Applejacks and Aunt Oranges
MLPFanatic34 3,234 October 3, 2014 Share October 3, 2014 I like Sunset Shimmer much more in this than in Equestria Girls, I was glad she got a chance to sing and loved her being the voice of reason in helping her friends realize they couldn't let the fighting and negativity control them like it did everyone else.

Singe 2,111 October 4, 2014 Share October 4, 2014 For the MLP series, I guess so. It's not a complete redemption since it required magic to force Sunset's alignment change. The only one who could beat that is a villain who decides of their own free will to turn.
