Beta Ray walks up to the house of his date. He's a little nervous. "First dates are always nerve-wracking," he thinks as he takes a deep breath and knocks on the door of the expected date. Well waiting he starts practicing what to say to her. "Hey, I'm here I've got the flowers and you're looking lovely tonight." He does this for a few minutes.

Stormlight was finishing the final touches of her dress, although she doesn't wear clothes like these often. She heard knocking in the door and smiles.

 

"Oh! I'm coming!" she yelled.

 

With a deep breath, she opens the door slowly looking happy as always. She sees her date with flowers and blushes.

Beta looks up at her. He is stunned for a minute. "That dress is beautiful." He thinks, still lost in her eyes. He then quickly comes back to reality upon looking down at the flowers. "Hey there. You look beautiful tonight," he says with a nervous grin and a blush, "I uh, brought you flowers to start off this fine evening." He then slowly pulls out the flowers and quickly hands it to her, still blushing.

Storm giggles and gently holds the flowers. "Oh my, these look so beautiful! Thank you," says the grey mare. She then steps outside her home and closes the door to go to the date. "So, where will we be going?" she asks softly while looking at the evening sky then at the stallion.

Beta pulls out a schedule of what is going on on this date. "Well to start out, we will be going on a nice peaceful fly through the night till we get to the Ponyville Gazebo, where we'll have a lovely dinner." She then look at her again with a not as nervous expression. "If that's OK with you."

With a small yet cute smile, Storm nods her head in agreement. "Of course, and I like how you have planned out your plans," Storm honestly answers. She prepares her wings that softly glistens in the starry night and blows her bangs near her right eye out of her vision. "I'm ready when you are!"

With a quick nod she approaches her and also prepares her wings, ready to fly. "Ready for this wonderful night." He says in glee. He is now a lot less nervous and in relief that his date didn't turn out to be a jerk. "Something tells me, this is going to be a great night," he thinks.

Storm flaps her wings and looks at the ground as she slowly lifts off. "I KNOW I'm ready" she replies with a grin. She looks around and smiles. "To the gazebo!" the mare exclaims and slowly and carefully makes sure she doesn't fly too fast for her date to keep up.

Beta starts flying and easily catches up to her. As they fly through the night Beta looks over at her and sees the moonlight shines down on her, making her sparkle a bit in his eyes. "You know, these nights sure are peaceful. Just you and me on a nice flight to the gazebo," he says trying to start a conversation.

Storm looks at him and agrees. "Yup! Romantic too, would you say?" she answers continuing the conversation. For being a shy pony, she didn't feel that nervous trying not to ruin anything in the date. She looks down at the dark ground and feels wind against her mane and enjoys the feeling.

Upon looking at her mane blowing in the wind, he blushes again. "Wow." He clears his throat. "You look exceptionally beautiful when the wind hits your mane." He took another deep breath as he sees they're approaching the Ponyville gazebo. There are some lights hanging around the gazebo for illumination.

She blushes from his compliments and looks at the gazebo. "Oh nice! We're getting closer to the gazebo," she exclaims and glides downwards towards the ground with carefulness. She looks at the gazebo with awe and feels excited about the date even more with him.

He then flies down at the gazebo too. He approaches the gazebo and pulls out a nice picnic dinner he got. He sets it up so it looks like a bit more of a romantic scene with candles and everything. "All right, I have the food!" He calls out, signaling her to come over there.

"Uh-huh...oh! Sorry, I was in my own world for a second," she snaps out of it and smiles. Storm sees the different types of food and tries to decide on what should she eat first. She chooses a muffin and nibbles on it, being satisfied of her actions she did before.

As he's eating, Beta is thinking of other things to say. "I hear mares like it if the stallion can lighten up the conversation, so maybe I can try to make her laugh." Beta tries to think of some jokes to tell. He first starts with a basic joke. "So, I had to go to the doctor last week cause I was a little hoarse."

Beta then chuckles. "It's OK. that stuff is understandable. He then looks over at her again. "It might be the good time to ask more about her." He thinks. "So, enough about me let's talk about you. What do you like to do? Like what are some hobbies you have or what do you just like to do for fun?"

Beta also thinks for a minute. "Well, I like to read trivia books and I like to play on this thing called video games. They're pretty rare. You sometimes might see an arcade machine in Ponyville. I'll usually play it to pass the time, hence the cutie mark. But mainly, I like to practice my trivia skills." He feels slightly proud of that skill.

"Hehe, cool. An arcade machine, huh? Sounds intresting, maybe I'll go try it out!" she roars confidentally. Hearing "video games" made her curious of what it has to offer, but she remembers this was a date. So she slowly stays next to him to show him her confidence.

Beta looks at her and sees some confidence in her eyes. He knew it was confidence cause he sometimes gets that face when confident. "I like your confidence. It shows you're comfortable with me. So the question is, how are you enjoying your time on this date. Cause I'm having a wonderful time with you."
