I had an idea for an episode about the Cutie Mark Crusaders getting their cutie marks.  I would have Sweetie Belle or Scootaloo get a cutie mark first.  All the Crusaders are happy and excited about it.  Then the other of the two gets her cutie mark.  Suddenly, Apple Bloom feels left out.  She thinks there is something wrong with her.  Eventually, they all realize that Apple Bloom did something specific to help each of the other two to get their cutie marks, and Apple Bloom gets her cutie mark at that moment.  It turns out that her special talent is helping other ponies to discover their special talents.

For their sakes', I hope they get their cutie marks. But for our sakes' I hope that they don't, because if they do get their cutie marks, the chance of more episodes focused on the CMC are increasingly unlikely.

I disagree.  I think it would be cool to see episodes about them helping other blank flanks to discover special talents.

I don't really expect them to get them in season five.  I think the following scenario is more likely:

 

Scoots, Squeaky Belle, and Apple Bloom (dunno if she's a nickname xD ) will all get their respective cutie marks during the closing credits of the final episode.  BUT you won't be able to see what said cutie marks are.  Rather, you will only hear the three celebrating their appearance and going on and on about how "awesome" they look without providing any exact descriptions.

 

"Wow!  I never thought this was the sort of cutie mark I'd get!"

 

"This is the cutie mark I've always wanted!  Isn't it cool?"

 

"I can't even begin to express how mind-blowing my cutie mark is.  Songs will be written about this cutie mark.  It will be celebrated for centuries to come."

 

And so on.

To be honest, I doubt the CMC will ever get their cutie marks.

Because, well it's all good fun to watch them tirelessly achieve this goal!

 

Something about all these ridiculous adventures is just fun and exciting. I like to watch as they go and tirelessly do all these dangerous and stupid things and you know. I wouldn't even mind if it stayed that way. After all it would be a shame if it all ended so suddenly. There'd be no reason to watch the CMC anymore!
