Thoughts on butterfly knives

In America you have this constitutional right to "Bear Arms" (And in context the word 'Arms' means 'weapons of defense') so it makes me feel bad for Euro countries but that is what happens when you want more government, they try to outlaw weapons.....

 

On topic:

I had a butterfly knife once but it wasn't too good because it was more show then practical....(100% Legal)

 

I recommend just getting any knife used by the Military for practicalness (just google it).

 

Off topic again:

I would just get a .357 that is small light which I could conceal/carry if I really wanted some self defense....

I think it is called the Ruger LCR?

Awesome but impractical: I don't see much purpose of the folding action other than intimidation. I still think they're pretty badass, I would just rather have something like a Bowie knife if I had to use a short blade.

I don't have a butterfly knife but I do have Swiss army knives and other assorted poker knives, mostly used for hunting. I don't really see a way butterfly knives would be usefull for hunting.

I've got a butterfly knife somewhere. It gets old after a while, there's only so many times you can flip it open and flip it closed. My favorite is my Cold Steel fixed blade that I got in Iraq. It's so sharp, if you look at it wrong, you bleed.
