Storm was happy and excited that they were now getting customers, but was confused at all the questions. Most of the questions got jumbled up with another and none of them seemed to make sense, since everypony was talking at once. "I can't understand a single thing anypony says with eveypony trying to talk over one another..." He thought, blinking in confusion at the crowd of ponies.

Even Pinkie Pie was having trouble comprehending the sheer amount of questions. She squeezed Storm's belly, causing him to deflate into his proper shape.

 

"That balloon pony was just a hallucination, people," she said. "You can go home now."

 

The ponies shrugged and left.

 

Pinkie looked into the loaded Bit box and then at the non-existent stack of pastries. "We did well today, huh? Wanna grab some lunch at a cafe?"

"Thanks for that... Yeah, okay.. Lunch sounds good.." Storm agreed. "I'll be paying for the meal though." He told Pinkie, starting to walk towards the cafe. "So go ahead and order whatever you want, the price shouldn't be a problem..." Storm said, while thinking. "Man, I've collected so many bits over the years, no reason not to treat Pinkie to a meal... Though at this rate I might have to find a good Charity to donate to, just to keep my house off the ground..."

"You sure?" replied Pinkie Pie as she trotted alongside Storm Shine to the cafe. "I have more than enough Bits to pay for myself. My own personal Bits, not the money we just raised from selling pastries."

 

'He's being a gentlecolt. Is that a sign that he likes me?'

"Of course I'm sure Pinkie." Storm started. "Honestly, I've got more bits than I know what to do with anyways. I've actually been donating amounts of it periodically to charities and stuff for a while now..." He told her. "And now, I really need to look into more charities and stuff... I swear, it's almost like my bits are alive and breeding like rabbits or something.." Storm mused. "Heh, I bet a lot of ponies in Canterlot would like that, money that makes itself.." He thought with some amusement, a smile forming on his face.

"Well... okay," said Pinkie.

 

They reached the cafe, and Pinkie parked her fuzzy rear on a chair next to a table for two. "So, Storm..." she said. "Let me list all the good qualities about you."

 

"You're kind, you're helpful, you donate to good causes, you have a great sense of humour..."

 

She continued listing things off.

Storm blushed as he smiled, feeling a little confused. "Well, thanks Pinkie..I'm flattered, but why are you listing these qualities?" He asked curiously. "Did I seem to be needing my spirits lifted? Because I'm pretty sure I physically floated off pretty easily at the stand." Storm chuckled, remembering the pony-balloon performance. "Which reminds me.. I think we almost forgot this.." He said, pulling the box-cart around to the front of him.

Storm's blush increased. "Thanks Pinkie, it's nice to be liked.. I lo- like! I like you too..." He told her. "Well that was close, almost bucked things up for yourself there Storm" Storm thought. "I wonder what she'd think if she knew that I love her... Why is it always so hard to admit these things?" He wondered.

Pinkie Pie grinned as a blush spread across her face. By this time, she had more excitement than seventy-five parties.

 

Just then, a waiter arrived at the table. "Ah, a couple, I see?" he commented in his stereotypical accent.

Storm's blush came back at full force. "At this rate, I'll end up putting Celestia's sun out of a job.." He thought. "Er-I-um... I mean I - uh... I kinda- er.." Storm started, failing to finish his sentence and instead devolved into a stuttering mess. "I wish... But I'm too cowardly to admit it to her... " He thought sadly. "I probably seem more like an annoying brother than coltfriend material.."

"No, we're just friends," replied Pinkie Pie softly.

 

"I see. What may I get for you today?" asked the waiter.

 

Pinkie turned to Storm. 'Well, I can't believe I'm about to do this...' "So, Storm, shall we get a jumbo plate of spaghetti to share between the two of us?"

 

She could feel her blush burning ever warmer.

Storm was thankfully unable to blush any more intensely, but unfortunately was also blushing at his intensity limit. "S-sure Pinkie, if that's what you want to do.." He said, attempting to force himself not to stutter, and mostly succeeding. "Pull yourself together Storm! Ugh.. I almost wish my coat was more red like big mac's... All the red of my blushing sticks out like a sore thumb against my blue coat...." Storm thought

"Coming right up!" said the waiter, and he left to go put the order in the kitchen.

 

Pinkie couldn't help but giggle, which she did a lot, at Storm's blushing. "You know," she said. "If ever something were to happen to Celestia's sun, you could get a job as it!" said Pinkie. "That is, if you were inflated."

Storm's blush started to go down. "I actually thought something like that too just a few minutes ago.." He admitted. "But thankfully I don't need to worry about floating up there just yet, seeing as it's still around..." Storm chuckled. "It'd probably take a while to float that high, and the job itself's likely to be pretty boring..."

'I don't think it would be so boring if you knew that the mare you obviously love would be admiring you for it...' mused Pinkie Pie.

 

'Princess Celestia, my lesson today is that he's the most super-adorablest colt ever...'

 

The waiter arrived with a jumbo bowl of spaghetti. "You're in luck! We had a spare bowl left in the fridge!" he told them.

"Wow, that is lucky.." Storm replied smiling. "Almost had to look for another thing to order I guess..." He said. "Plus, Pinkie did want the spaghetti, so it would suck if we weren't able to get any.." Storm thought.

 

"Wow, when they say jumbo bowl... Well that certainly does look petty jumbo sized.." He commented, getting a good look at it. "I might have to do some serious exercise later, or my wings'll be feeling the strain of carrying a jumbo-sized me!" Storm laughed.

"I get more than enough exercise," said Pinkie. "All the candy I eat gives me a bit of cub, yes, but it also gives me the energy for a sugar rush! Candy, running, candy, running, and the circle of life continues!" she said.

 

"Anyway, let's eat this spaghetti!" she said, and slurped up a strand.

"Yeah, you certainly do seem to get plenty of exercise.." Storm said before turning to his meal. "That's certainly a nice circle of life too.." He mused, slurping up a noodle absentmindedly. "Candy, exercise, candy, exercise.. She should look into marketing that as a diet program..." Storm thought amused.

"I do, don't I?" agreed Pinkie, and continued to slurp from the spaghetti. She then realised that if she only slurped, she wouldn't get any of the hayballs. She picked up her fork, used it to stab a hayball, and popped the ball into her mouth.

 

"Mmm... tastes like the hayballs they have over in Swedock!" she commented,

"Really?" Storm asked, surprised. "I heard that Swedock makes some of the best hayballs in Equestria, maybe even the world... Maybe they import them..?" He said. "Or maybe somepony from swedock works here making hayballs.." Storm pondered aloud, slurping at another noodle absentmindedly.

Pinkie slowly spun a hayball around on her fork and made ruminating noises to herself. "Or... maybe Swedock is plotting an attack, and they're using their specialty hayballs as a warning sign?" he bursted out with noticeable trepidation in her voice.

Storm blinked and put a hoof to his chin. "I hope not... If they fail and Swedock gets wiped out in retaliation, where are we going to get quality hayballs?" He replied nervously. "There would be outrage! Chaos! Anarchy! And worst of all..... No more high quality hayballs!" Storm exclaimed dramatically.

Pinkie gasped in horror at everything that Storm had said. She then forgot all about it and went back to slurping spaghetti and chomping down hayballs.

 

She looked down at the bowl. "Well, I've wiped out a lot of the bowl. Here, you have the rest, Storm Shine."

Storm shrugged "If you're sure Pinkie.." He said, before pushing a hoof onto the edge of the bowl causing the rest of the spaghetti fly out. Storm opened his mouth and caught it all in one big bite. "Yum!" He commented, licking his lips. "Yep, those are some good spaghetti and hayballs alright!"
