Storm smiled. "Sure thing Pinkie! I do like making art.. Or sculpting randomly.. Or doodling on paper..." He said, going off track before he shook himself out of it. "Anyways yeah, I'll bring a cloud down for you.. Um.. Do you want a ride to the ground?" Storm asked. "Or are you just going to stay up here?"

'A ride to the ground on the back of Storm Shine... who in their right mind would pass that up? I might be a little biased because of how cute he is, but still...'

 

"Sure, why not?" she said. "You can carry me on your back, then? Just so you know, I've been having a good few cupcakes recently."

Storm smiled. "Yep! I can carry you down, no problem!" He told Pinkie happily. "And then I'll go ahead and grab a good-sized cloud for you before I start busting some of the others." Storm explained with a smile before lowering himself a bit. "Here, get on and I'll take us down."  He said.

"Awesome!" declared Pinkie, and she went over to Storm and climbed onto his back. "Any speed is fine by me!"

 

'I gotta draw a picture about this,' she decided. 'Maybe it'll be what I sculpt with the cloud he's fetching. After all, it most likely will be about me and Storm.'

Storm smiled as he flew outside and towards the ground at a medium speed. "Here you go." He told Pinkie as he landed, Crouching to the ground to let her get off easier. Once she got off his back Storm quickly flew up and grabbed a good-sized cloud before dragging it back down to Pinkie. "And here you go. I'll be back in a few minutes.." He said before flying back up and speedily began to bust many of the clouds floating around the sky.

"Thanks!" called Pinkie. She then looked down at the cloud and began to ruminate over what she should make. She wasn't having trouble coming up with anything; rather, she was trying to pick out one of the many ideas she had.

 

She eventually settled for her and Storm on top of a giant cupcake.

Storm finished clearing up a few more clouds. "Alright, I think the weather team can finish it up from here.." He commented. "I'd better go see how Pinkie's doing..." Storm told himself. "I wonder what she decided to sculpt..." Landing back by Pinkie, he kept his eyes averted from the cloud in case she wanted it to be a surprise. "Hey Pinkie! Whatcha sculpting?" Storm asked her happily.

"Me and you dancing on top of a giant cupcake!" replied Pinkie Pie gleefully. She rotated the cloud around to show Storm Shine. "We both know how good giant cupcakes are, right? And because there's no colour, the flavour can be whatever you want it to be!" she went on.

Storm smiled widely. "It's genius!" He exclaimed. "Absolutively genius! I can't believe it's never been thought of before!" Storm said happily, before frowning. "Though unfortunately t's not likely to last very long, cloud sculptures are pretty fragile and get all dissolve-ey..." He informed Pinkie feeling sad for the future loss of the great sculpture.

"Aw, no worries!" said Pinkie. "I could make a bajillion of these if I wanted to. I'm rather good at it, y'know?"

 

"Also, can't we store this somewhere to keep it the way it is?" she went on. "Like a giant refridgerator? If we shrunk ourselves, any refridgerator would appear giant, but so would the sculpture..."

"Hmm..." Storm put a hoof to his chin as he contemplated this problem. "Well... There isn't much I can do with the manipulation of my pegasi magic outside of my body... But I could try and use it to freeze this into an ice sculpture! Or I could put it in the cider cellar!" He exclaimed. "I mean... If you want me to do either of those.."

"Sure, let's freeze it!" said Pinkie. "If we're going to be freezing it, the area in which we plan to do so must be really huge, so while we're at it, we may as well put some snowcones in there too, right? See, I have some snowballs I saved from last time it snowed. Now we just gotta flavour them!"

Storm chuckled as he put a hoof to the sculpture, a light mist wafting from his arm as the magic traveled down it to the cloud. "I could get a cloud down here and give it a minor freeze treatment. so we can have fresh snow..." He offered while the statue continued to freeze over. "It might be a bit easier, but it's your choice..." Storm said with a smile. "Thank goodness these are clouds and as such already pegasi related, or it would be a lot harder to focus my magic for it." He thought as the now ice sculpture finished freezing.

Pinkie Pie simply gaped as she intently watched Storm Shine work his Pegasus magic on the cloud. She had had no idea that was possible. In response to his offer, she replied with the enthusiasm of a hundred foals who had just received their cutie marks, "Are you serious?! Yesyesyessityyes!" she replied. "Can all Pegasi do that?!" she added.

Storms eyes widened. "I never thought about that... They probably could learn.. But it's really hard, and it took a long time to learn. I learned how to manipulate my magic when I was trying to make a floating, but solid, cloud for my normal furniture and other non-cloud items." He informed Pinkie with a smile. "So I guess they can... They just don't know how to use or train it consciously..." Storm said. "I'll be right back, just a second." He told her, flying off and coming back with a merged group of clouds to make snow.

Storm rubbed his hoof against the back of his neck sheepishly. "Aw, well...I'm sure that I'm not all that special...." He said with a blush. "But yeah, it's pretty comfortable.. Clouds are really soft after all." Storm told her as his blush began to fade away from his cheeks.

"Not all that special?" restated Pinkie Pie. "Storm Shine, there are absolutely loads of unique and special things about you that I don't encounter in many stalli - er, many ponies." She had had to go back and alter her sentence to make it more generalising.

Storm's blush came back again. "I-I'm sure it's not that uncommon.." He stuttered. "I mean.... Lots of ponies have loads of nice qualities, I-I'm just like any other everyday average stallion...." Storm said, rubbing a forehoof to his other leg feeling embarrassed by the compliment.  "Why is it so hard for me to just take a compliment and move on...?" He wondered

Storm was once more attempting to steal the sun's job. "I-I... Um...I mean it's... Uh... S-surely I'm not quite that. er.... What I mean to say is that I-I... uh..." His eyes widened as he took in a particular quality on the list. "W-wait... Y-you think I'm... You think I'm a-adorable?" He asked feeling incredibly surprised. "That's a good sign, right?" Storm thought. "I mean... Maybe, maybe she likes me the way I like her! She's got some great qualities too.... Happy, Generous, Kind, and she's so cute with her long, pink, curly, silky mane curling around her adorable head as she runs around....." His thoughts started to go off track from the original process as he spaced out.

"Well, duh! Of course!" said Pinkie. "That smile you always wear could put newborn puppies to shame! And that nose of yours..." She reached out and poked Storm's nose with her hoof. "Boop!"

 

"And those goggles really go well with you!" she went on. "And when you're so small, I can hold you in my hoof..." She went a bit doozy from the levels of cuteness.

Storm's blush went supernova. "I....I..." He stuttered. "Should I just tell her? Would she- does she feel the same way?" Storm thought. "What if I'm rejected? What if she doesn't want to b friends anymore after I've asked?" He shook his head. "No! Pinkie's not like that, she wouldn't stop being friends with somepony over something like that! But... It could make things awkward if I've been reading everything wrong and she does reject me...." Storms eye hardened a bit. "No! I'll try, I need to get over this nervousness and at least try!"

 

"Pinkie... I.." He hesitated.

"You what?" said Pinkie, attempting to fill in for Storm's lack of speech after his second word. "Wanna grab some ice cream? Because I know a great recipe for an ice cream sundae that's perfect for two ponies! Let's go to Sugarcube Corner!"

Storm's nervousness had stopped him from saying anything... again... "Darn it, why am I such a coward..." He thought to himself sadly. "Yeah, sure that sounds great!" Storm enthusiastically said with a large smile. "Who doesn't like sugary treats after all? Nopony I know..." He commented.
