private Lyra and Bon Bon: Slice of Life

Lyra was about to speak up again before she heard yet another knock at her door. "Ugh, again!?" Lyra was starting to get a little aggravated that she couldn't get a break, Bon Bon was an exception, but having two ponies knock on your door in a 10 minute interval wasn't a nice experience. "I'm sorry, Bony, I'll be right back..." Lyra walked downstairs to go and get the door again. She was surprised to see her DJ friend standing there. "What do you wa- Oh, it's just you, Vinyl." She says to the mare. "Why does your mane look so... tattered?"

Pinkie was about to eat a cupcake but then stopped because she wanted to wait to start eating when all of her friends got here. "Yeah, it wasn't that great of a picnic. It certainly doesn't match the super awesome wonderful picnic that I've prepared. Now I wonder, where is my potential cousin Applejack?"

Zepyr sighed and wiped the streak of sweat off of her brow as the last piece of mail slid silently into the letterbox. It had been a particularly long and chaotic day as it seemed her fellow employee Derpy had tried to "organize" Zephyr's route for her... again. After a quick jaunt back to the post office to clock out, Zephyr quickly set off for the small apartment she her called home. She managed to make it half way before it occurred to her that her fridge was out of, well everything actually. With a pained sigh Zeph turned and began to impatiently trot in the direction of the marketplace. Her commute came to a quick stop however as she found herself plowing headfirst into a dark pegasus.

"Oh wow I'm really sorry, I was just in a hurry and I didn't look where I was going. Hey I know you, it's Moonlight-Something right?" She said, offering a hoof to the toppled stallion.

"It's Moonlit. Not Moonlight, and yes, that's me." He takes her hoof. "I apologize, I wasn't watching where I was going. I only have one question, though..." He starts.

 

"How did you even KNOW my name?" He asks. "I don't even think I've ever seen you around Ponyville or Cloudsdale before..."

"You probably just don't recognize me without my uniform, I'm the mailmare" Zephyr said with a smile that threatened to split her cheeks. "I always make a point to learn the names of everyone on my route, just in case ya know?" she added with a shrug. "I'm actually just headed down to the market. Been livin' offa croutons and dressing the past few days so I figured I might as well get some salad to go with 'em"

After putting the casserole she had been making into the oven,  Octavia finally sighed an sat in the dining room. Wine had been poured, canals lit, flower in a vase. It was rather romantic if one didn't know the meaning of the occasion. She was going to talk to the mare thought she loved whether her thoughts were correct or not. Laying back, she knew that it would be some time till the mare returned from her park concert.

     Glancing at her mane momentarily Vinyl did notice that its usually vibrant and distracting colors have lost a bit of their luster. "I just dont know Lyra!" she bust out loud without any warning, startling the other unicorn. "Its Tavi, my relationship with her is killing me! I love her more than anything Lyra but I havent treated her right and now its catching up with me!" all that coming out at once had hit Vinyl like a punch to the gut, she stood there breathing heavily. 'I look so uncool right now' she complained inwardly, "I need your help Lyra I have to go back to meet Tavi soon and I dont know what to do, you and Bon Bon seem to be happy together so I just wondered if I could....get some pointers." the last several words came out sounding bitter, Vinyl didnt like asking others for help and certainly not like this but she felt as if this was her last chance to keep things together with Octavia before it all fell apart.

Lyra stood dumbfounded at her usually cheery friend looking glum as could be. With way darker colors then usual. It was... offputting, to say the least. Until she went up and tattered her friends mane with her hoof.

"Awww, Vinyl, I'm glad you consider me good enough a friend to come to me with this problem." She says, giving Vinyl a big ol' hug.
