Spellbind wondered what had happened with Storm at the end of his sentence, but thought nothing of it. After all, she had a habit of talking to herself like another person, and not even being very subtle about it.

 

"Right..." she said. "Learning spells? That sounds interesting, but I'd probably be too lazy for it..." she said with a sigh.

Lightning sat there and listen to the conversation learning about the different ponies that lived in this new world. Although he was still trying to get use to the area, he was starting to become more and more comfortable. 

 

Lightning looked at Spellbind, "Hey, learning spells shouldn't be to difficult, maybe there is someone around here that we can find to help you, since Storm is helping me maybe we can help you."

Storm nodded, "I have a few unicorn friends, I could see if any of them would like to help you learn if you want." Pinkie pitched in, "Yeah! And I could ask Twilight or Rarity if they could help too!"

 

Storm looked at Spellbind, "It's up to you though, if you decide to learn it will be a bit difficult... But you shouldn't let that discourage you."

Lightning looks at both Storm and Spellbind "I believe its a pretty good idea, if your here you might want to learn all you can, I know I'm going to try my best to become what I can. I'm definitely going to work on being the best flyer i can, you might as well try to be the best magic user, and if possible I'll help when I can."

"Well, let's see what happens," said Spellbind, inspecting her horn's deformation some more. "I'd normally laze out of something that sounded like such hard work, but magic sounds too good of an oppurtunity to pass up!" she said excitedly. "Which spells are the simplest?"

"Telekinesis I think..." Storm replied. He didn't really know if it was the simplest... But he did know it was the most common so he guessed that it must be at least fairly simple, right? If everypony, well... Every unicorn uses it, than there's no way it can be one of the harder spells.

"Like levitating and manipulating things?" suggested Spellbind. "That'll be interesting to try out."

 

"I've actually heard of stuff like that back in my world," she said. "Perhaps there's magic where I live after all. Gives me hope that there's more than just the physical world we know... things that are metaphysical or spiritual..."

Lightning was listening to the conversation and decided to go explore the surrounding area a little, "Well, I'm going to look around and see if i could get acquainted with everything around here, i don't want to get lost around here, so at least know where everything is."

 

Lightning decided he was going to head further into town and explore.

"Have fun!" Storm told Lightning happily. "Lots of ponies around here are really friendly, so don't be afraid to ask for directions if you get lost! Oh, and if you see a group of break-dancing squirrels, let them know they owe me ten bits!" His piece said, Storm bounced over to get a cup of punch.

Soprano started to search the shelves, draws, everything in desperation [in Skyla's] to find the tape. He turned up negative. "... where did I leave it...?" he said, remembering the couch. He ran over to the couch, finding it there. 'Success!' he imagined. Just before he walked out of the door, he stopped to think if there was anything to look at, now having the opportunity.

"Breakdancing squirrels," muttered Spellbind as this Storm Shine character bounced away. "I'm gonna go get some refreshments," she told Lightning Crasher. "Hope to see you again!" She went over to the refreshments table and started piling a plate with savoury and dessert items.

"Thanks for the help Storm, hope to see you soon for the training, Hopefully I can get off the ground." Lightning said laughing out loud. "Just let me know when you want to start. I'll be around the town. Hope to see you around Spellbind."

 

Lightning walked around the town making visual notes to the different shops and buildings in the town. After awhile Lightning decided that he would give flight a chance. He took a flight posture and started to flap his wings, after a few seconds he got a few feet off the ground. He decided to push a little harder and found out that flying wasn't to hard. He got high enough to where he could see above the town, also watching the three ponies he ran into earlier. He was on his way down to the ground when he landed on a cloud.

 

"O.K. this is weird, I'm able to stand on clouds, this is nice. I'm going to stay here as long as i can."

Eps watched as the ponies seperated.

"Man, this is boring, I am going to scavenge in the human world."

Eps used his watch to teleport back to the human world.

 

When Eps arrived he put on a black coat with a hoodie, but he kept the hoodie off.

Eps takes his Ipod in hand and tries to figure out how it works.

"Man, this is such a strange thing."

Eps put it back inside his enchanted keychain and walked in the direction of the school.

"Maybe one of the students can tell me how it works."

 

On his way to the school building Eps passed by Skyla her house and found out something strange.

"What? I sense a lifeform inside that house but I think I saw Skyla at the party... by the way, this spirit I sense isn't the same as the spirit of Skyla. Let's wait for a little bit. maybe I am mistaking and it will go away soon."

Alex woke up late that morning, he had been up all night on his laptop ((OOC: hmm, that reminds me of someone...)), he was wearing a red t-shirt with grey pajama pants. he got up and brushed his teeth, then went downstairs and made himself a bagel. Since he didn't have much to do, he put on some clothes, A blue and white striped collared shirt, black jeans, red converse and his watch, and decided to go for a walk ((OOC: until he found a box, containing a filly rainbow dash. Kidding! this isn't my little dashie!)) he slipped a navy blue hoodie and went outside.

You probably shouldn't be snooping around in someone's things... Soprano thought, agreeing to himself. You came for the tapedeck, you leave with it.

 

Soprano started cleaning up the mess he made (making it not look suspicious), dropping a few things. (filler)

Eps his was getting bored so he decided to enter the building.

"Go"

Eps his shadow started to crawl under the door and ended up in the house.

With his black magic, Eps changed position with his shadow.

Eps saw Soprano, digging around.

 

Eps started to talk to suprise Soprano.

"Don't you know it is rude to sneak into someones house?"

Two flames appeared that floated besides Eps. The flames were spinning vertically.

"Tell me what you are doing here..."

The two flames started to grow in height until Eps grabbed the 2 flames. The flames turned into chakrams once Eps grabbed the flames.

"...and I MIGHT let this slip."

 

Eps now started to play with his chakrams. He sometimes let them go, but once he does, the chakrams don't fall but they float in the air and keep spinning besides Eps until he grabs them again.

"What do you think of my new magic trick? I worked pretty hard on it. Anyway, what are you doing here? Looking for something worth selling, Homework so you don't have to do it yourself or are you just a pervert? Let me already tell you, I don't like the last kind."

Eps' sudden appearance drastically startled Soprano, making him scream. "The hell you doing here?" he yelled, seeing his holding-fire stunt. He backed away. "...I.... I just came for my cassette tape..." he said, nervously. "The door was unlocked..."

 

Stupidly, Soprano decided to attempt to make a run for the door, grabbing the tape deck.

Eps snapped with his finger to create a round force field that kept him and Soprano in some sort of arena.

"I am not letting you go that easy. Why run if you are innocent. I might let you pass... if you beat me."

 Eps snaps his fingers again so 4 cards appear that has the size of a human body.

Each card had different symbol. One card had a sword drawn on it, another had a shield, another had a staff and the last has a door.

"The rules are simple, the card you pick decides which weapon you get. If you get the card with the door, you can leave right away. If you get a weapon, you'll have to face me. Don't worry, I'll go easy on you."

 

The cards now faced the ground and moved with a great speed so no one could follow which card was which one. The all lined up, ready to be picked.

"Pick a card."

The fact that all of this was happening was extremely overwhelming, terrifying him further. He was prepared to try and run again, but he remembered that plan didn't work.

 

He looked at all of the cards, still confused. He just followed along.

 

"... the the third from the right?" he said softly.

Eps looked with  smile to Soprano for some reason. 

"So that would mean the middle left, 2nd from left, third from right. Do you agree and are you sure? Once chosen you can't switch it out."

The card slowly lifted so it would be ready to be turned. Who knows what is under it.

I hope it's a Monte Hall problem... he thought. "... yes, I guess..." he said, a bit louder than last time, but still fairly quiet. He saw the card slowly flip over, as if it was trying to be cinematic. Soprano didn't care what was under it; he was screwed under all possibilities.

The card turned and it was the card with the door.

The other cards revealed itself. On the far left was the staff, the 2nd from left was the one Soprano picked, the one with the door, the 2nd from right was the sword and the far right was the shield.

The forcefield went down so Soprano could go to the door now.

 

(OOC: OMG, I sat here with some cards and took 4 and gave them all a title. I started to shake them around and when you choose the one with the title "Door" I was like: "From all the luck in the world...")

Soprano was ready to run away in fear now, but he stopped to think: How is this guy doing all of this stuff?

"... What are you... no one can do impossible things like that..." he said, staring Eps in the eye in sheer perplexity and confusion.

Eps got all sad when he heard that question.

"I was once human like you but then I got lost. I kept searching for a way back for years but I never could find it. adventually, things started to get in my way, things that didn't want me to keep walking anymore. so I searched strength.

In order to get that I had to give in.

 

I fell into the darkness. At first there were no side effects, but as my power started  to grow, I started to change until I was starting to lose my humanity, only half of me is still human.

 

I adventually started to think that it was all for nothing until not long ago, when finally started to care for something and that is the only thing that has been keeping me human... or a part human. What you see is a form of the black magic, dark arts and the power of darkness.

 

The answer to your question... what I am... I am... a demon..."
