Is "clopping" wrong and does it make us look bad?

I think that clopping (lets start referring to the term masturbation) is wrong due to the fact that many bronies enjoy masturbating to something innocent

 

The fact that some people masturbate to MLP disturbs me

Even if it is referred as disturbing and it may be disturbing, but it doesn't make the people who do this activity any less or worse than people who are not participating in this kind of activity. I think it's everyones own decision what they will do and we should not be judging people because of that because we aren't judges.

 

We are human beings and we are different some people enjoy stuff that other people do not enjoy . You can accept people who clop but that doesn't mean that you have to accept clopping itself.

No, it's what we humans do, same with masturbating.

Even old people jack off to little kids, we jack off to ponies, to furries, to cartoons, TO EVERYTHING.

I honestly don't care about "clopping" or even Rule 34 in general. What people want to do is up to them. As long as they are not harming anyone or shoving the fact that they do it in everyone's face, people can do as they please.

As a clopper myself I don't have a problem with it. I know it seems weird, but it really doesn't hurt anyone and no one has any business judging what arouses you.

 

Does it make us look bad? Yeah, I think that's fair to say. It's pretty obvious what ideas it would give people about us.

I don't really care about clopping. I think anyone has right to enjoy the show in any way they want even if that means watching saucy/clop art on the internet. What I care for though are people trying to force their... "hobby" to others. It is a private thing, I discussed it with few people simply because I enjoy discussing and debating over controversional stuff but what I hate is when someone forces the topic even if I say that I don't want to talk about it and on top of all if I don't want to be involved in such activity (few people tried to "turn me" and they are now blocked on skype). 

 

I won't judge anyone over it, after all clop/saucy pictures when they are well drawn contain most of things people look for in any kind of erotic stuff. And ponies from MLP are not typical horses so it does not work as zoophilia. It is actually almost like R34 stuff made by some furries. Besides lots of people mistake browsing R34 art with... doing stuff when watching it. I know people who just see such pictures from time to time but do nothing when browsing them. 

 

 

Does it make fandom look bad? Yes. Question is - are cloppers the ones who are guilty of that? I blame the society which is very fast in judging people and instead of getting to know them and things they are so harsh about more they just move to judgement and start hate campaign. I see no big deal in clopping unless someone is public about it and talks about it with people who clearly don't care. After all what someone does in private is none of our business, besides most of people have their weird secrets and if we judged them because of such secrets like some of society would most of us would probably start hating each other.

 

 

Don't blame cloppers for the hate. Blame the society which is too lazy to check facts before judging.

It doesn't bother me that people clop but it definitely gives bronies a bad name because everyone just assumes that if you watch mlp all you do is clop! I've never clopped myself because this show is too innocent for me to think about any of the characters in that way.

Clopping's certainly a controversial topic both within and outside the fandom, and although the Debate Pit is typically suitable for threads like this one, the nature of the discussion is such that clop threads tend to end in a spectacular fashion. I'm generally loath to stifle potentially legitimate discussion, but until certain policies are worked out, this thread will have to be locked. In time, we may begin to allow these topics again, but that time has yet to arrive.
