Wind Chaser 4,768 December 1, 2014 Share December 1, 2014 I remember for a short time, there were small icons under our avatars that linked to our profiles on the external sites listed on our MLPF profiles that eliminated the need for us to ask other users, go into profiles for contacts, or to put the links in our signatures. I'm asking this because this could potentially save space for those of us with lengthy signatures and save time for other users looking for us off-site. I also noticed a spike in my DeviantArt pageviews as soon as I put the dA link in my signature. I thought that if this feature was returned, this could work out for a number of other users. Why weren't these kept up, and will we ever see them again?
SCS 7,537 December 3, 2014 Share December 3, 2014 We removed them when some expressed concerns regarding page clutter. Bringing them back is certainly not out of the question if people would prefer to have them back.

SparklingSquirrels 21,355 December 4, 2014 Share December 4, 2014 (edited) I would certainly like to have them back. I'm on deviantart, and it's much easier to find other dA users when you can see beneath their avatar that they have an account there as well, instead of having to go through their profiles. @Wind Chaser: You can still see the icons if you change the theme to the IP.Board theme Edited December 4, 2014 by SparklingSwirls 2 ֍֎֍֎
Nohbdy 4,108 December 4, 2014 Share December 4, 2014 They were added temporarily mostly as an experiment. The real goal was to add a role indicator under the badge of each staff member. Sure beats clumsily making new user groups for each little role change, and it also lets staff have multiple roles. Helps people know who to contact when they need assistance. But yeah, they can be re-added easily if needed. In the meantime, it's like SparklingSwirls says: the icons still exist in the generic IPB theme.
