"This theme park is gonna be awesome, I just know it!" a rainbow-maned Pegasus said to herself excitedly as she perched her fuzzy rear on the bench at the train station. She tapped her hooves on the bench as she awaited the train that would take her to her destination.

 

Little did she know, she was not the only pony to be travelling to this theme park on this fine day. Also on his way was an author Pegasus named Rising Shine, who happened to be a friend of Dashie's. Not to mention Thunderlane, a grey and white Pegasus. Also a friend of the mare.

"Well, let's go to the theme park today. A free day to relax never hurt somepony."

 

Rising stands up from his work desk, stretching his body for- and backwards and take the last sip from his apple juice. Then he makes his way out, walking to the train station.

When he reached the train station, he bumped into somepony.

 

"OUCH!"

 

But the moment, he looked up to the pony, all his annoyance disappeared in 10 seconds flat ... he bumped into the best mare in all of Equestria ... Rainbow Dash.

 

"Oh, uh, sorry, Rainbow for bumping into you ..."

Thunderlane stood panting and sweating at the entrance to the train station, it had been a long way to the train station, especially since he had to get there fast. He was wandering around looking for the right train to catch, when he walked into somepony.

"Sorry, sorry I wasn't focusing.."

When Thunderlane looked up to see who he walked into, he saw a blue stallion, and an even lighter blue mare.

The mare had beautiful vibrant rainbow hair, and the stallion, a casual dark blue.

"Dash, I havent seen you in ages! Sorry to to interrupt..."

"Whoa!" Rainbow Dash had not expected to be rammed into and sent tumbling right off the bench. She looked up to see her friend, Rising Shine.

 

"Oh, hey there, Rising," she said. "Just try to be a little more care-"

 

She was interrupted when a grey and white Pegasus, her friend Thunderlane, flew into Rising.

 

'Clumsy stallions,' she thought.

 

"Hello to you too, Thunderlane," she greeted. "So... you both here for the theme park too?"

"Yeah, I tought, having a day off to relax by the park would be nice. So you where going there too, Rainbow?"

 

He stands up, looking to the other stallion.

 

"Who are you? I think I saw you before somewhere. Thunderlane, right? Watch out where you running, that hurted."

"You got it, my names Thunderlane. Sorry I flew into you, like I said I wasn't focusing, I was looking for my train to the theme park."

Thunderlane tapped his hoof on the concrete platform of the train station, becoming impatient for the train to arrive.

"Anyway, what's your name, isn't it Rising something? I can never remember it."

Rainbow Dash looked at the two stallions. "Oh, have you two not met?" she said as if it wasn't clear.

 

She got next to the gap between the stallions, making a triangle shape. "Rising Shine, Thunderlane. Thunderlane, Rising Shine."

 

Suddenly, a train pulled up. "All aboard for Prancing Park!" came the shrill voice of the conductor.

 

"Hey, let's all go together!" said Rainbow.

"Nice to meet you, Thunderlane."

 

Rising smiles, before he walks inside the train. He looks for a place to sit, near a window, sitting down and start relaxing, looking out of the window. At the end, he just watched few seconds out, before looking where Rainbow Dash is sitting.

"You as well, Rising Shine."

Thunderlane followed Rising Shine into the carriage and sat in the chair behind him, leaning his head back and closing his eyes, resting from the long flight he had just been through.

He slowly opened his eyes to see Rainbow Dash walking down the isle.

Where will she sit.. Thunderlane thought.

Rainbow Dash was just about to sit down, when an influx of ponies boarded onto the train. A pony each sat next to Rising and Thunderlane before Rainbow could select which stallion to sit with.

 

She noticed a row of three unoccupied seats. She went over to it and sat in the middle. "Guys, over here!" she called.

Rising looks to her.

 

"Should we come over to you?!"

 

Silly me, of course we should. Rising stands up, passing the sit neighbour and walking to the place near the window, near Rainbow Dash.

 

"Hey, Thunder, come over here!"

 

Rising waves to him, mention him to come to the last free sit there.

"Coming."

Thunderlane stands and walks over the pony sitting next to him.

"Sorry, sorry." He grunts trying to get past.

Once he finally does, he slowly walks up to the empty seat, but then another pony, jumps right into it before he can sit down.

Suddenly Thunderlane feels a rush of some weird emotion that he had never felt before...

​Was that jealousy?

"Don't worry, I'll just stand.." Thunder mumbled.

"Aw, that's nice of you, Thunderlane," said Rainbow Dash, beaming.

 

Soon enough, the train they were on started to puff away from the station.

 

"So, Rising, how's your book coming along?" asked Rainbow Dash, turning to the blue and purple Pegasus. "I'm kinda likin' your work so far."

Rising blushes a little, barely noticable.

 

"Uhhhhhh, yeah, going good so far. I'm nearly finished and still have a week time, so I tought, I taking a day off and enjoy the park for today. And what are you doing recently, Rainbow? Napping and breaking sound barriers in 10 seconds flat?"

The train suddenly lurched forward, causing Thunderlane to lurch forward and smash his head on the seat to his left.

Thunder groaned and put his hoof up to check for blood.

There was no blood, but there was going to be a painful bruise in a few hours..

He then zoned out, completely lost in thought, not focusing on anything in particular.

Rainbow Dash nodded in response to Rising Shine's guess. "Yup! My name wouldn't be Rainbow Dash if-"

 

*SMASH!*

 

Rainbow craned her head around to look at Thunderlane. The poor fellow had went head-first into the seat in front of him. "You okay?" she asked concerned.

Rising looks to him, worried.

 

"Hey, Thunder! Thunder? Are you okay? Are you hurted?"

 

Rising stands up, walking to him.

 

"Come on, you better rest for now. You can sit on my place, okay?"

 

He looks to him, hoping he is going to reply or even remember who he is. He points to his seat.

Thunder could only hear buzzing and it took a long time before his eyes managed to focused and he came back to his mind.

Thunder looked up to see Rising Shine pointing to his seat.

"Thank you, it means a lot."

Thunder walked over and sat in the seat, but didn't have enough time before he closed his eyes hoping the buzzing would stop.

"That's nice of you, Rising," complimented Rainbow Dash as Thunderlane took Rising's spot.

 

She turned to look at Thunderlane. "So... how are things going for you, Thunderlane?" she asked the grey, white-maned Pegasus stallion. "How's your little brother Rumble?"

"Really, no problem at all, Rainbow. He needs more then me right now."

 

Rising looking around, getting hungry. He decides to go to the wagoon with food and buying something. He was close to walk there, before he turns around, looking to them.

 

"You two want something to eat and drink?"

Thunder slowly opened his eyes and turned to Rising.

"No thanks, I'm okay, I appreciate everything though."

He then turned to face Rainbow Dash.

"He's getting better. He practices flying every time he gets the chance, I hope someday he will be one of the best fliers in Equestria.

Rainbow Dash nodded. "From what I've seen of him, the kid has potential," she said. "Anyway, Thunder, I really do think that it would be a good idea to take the seat that Rising just offered you," she went on. "You need to relax, plus you might get into another accident if you stand up."

Rising walks to the wagoon with the food and is surprised, how much there is. He looks trough it, but decide for something simple.

 

"Hello, I take 6 salad toasts and 3 milkshakes ... uhhh ... vanilla, choco and strawberry."

 

"15 bits please."

 

Rising smiles, taking out the 15 bits and gives it to the mare.

"True." Said Thunder as he relaxed into the chair.

"How is your flying going? Other than being breaking the speed of sound, I don't know how you do it! It's absolutely amazing, the Wonderbolts would be dumb not to invite you to train with them, you're the fastest pony in Equestria!"

Rainbow smiled and blew her mane out of her face. "Well..."

 

Just then, she noticed Rising purchasing some food.

 

'He's being generous today... as per usual.'

 

"Rising, you know you didn't have to get all this for us," she said with a chuckle, handing him 5 Bits, a third of what it had cost.
