First Attempt at Pony Art - Samurai Rainbow Dash

Possible problems I see here are body too long, head too small, wings poorly placed.  But heck, I'm not going to fuss too much this time around...  Whaddaya think?

 

ETA This is a preliminary pencil sketch.  I have to clean it up and ink, then into the computer for color.  Sketch was scanned at 300 DPI and I put a Fractalius filter on it. 

Used reference photos if Toshiro Mifune, and also used a reference pics of Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Jin from Samurai Champloo.  Hope you like it!

Welll.  I kinda do have a job as an artist, protographer and writer.  But this is my first pony.  And Thanks!
