I am wondering what do you think some of the other events were in the equestria games that we did not see.

Now this would be something awesome and worth seeing. But how would the nonmagical races compete in those duels? Would it be a Unicorn with a Spellblade VS a Zebra/Griffon or something with a big sword?

 

Or would they be allowed to take in a certain number of magical artifacts and magical items, and so would their opponents?

Long jump, high jump, ground racing and ball games, Pinkie + A.J win it all. No wonder Ponyville won the medal count.

 

Although it didn't show that they had any medal at all. If it wasn't them, I wonder who won so many medals for Ponyville.

yes, but now that I think of it Cloudsdale doesn't have Unicorns...... or do they it is possible for them to get to cloudsdale

Maybe some sort of strength/racing contests for Earth Ponies. Like hay barrel rolling or something. 

 

Probably flying events for Pegasi.

 

For Unicorns, magic events obviously.

Racing, physical strength, mental clarity (?) for Unicorns, and other things. Probably games I would imagine as well.

It seems likely that each race would want events they were likely to win.

I seem to recall ice arrow archery being mentioned somewhere.

Ever see a tractor pull? But w ponies instead of tractors.

Zen Sumo Wrestling.  Not allowed to move, use TK to toss opponents from ring

In the Cutie Pox episode, Apple Bloom had fencing for one talent

In Fall Weather Friends AJ & Dash competed in a tug of war (which was an Olympic event for a few years)

Wrestling & several of the ponies have had Martial Arts references, so contests in various styles seems likely

The hay bale toss was like the Hammer Throw IRL

Pinkie was ice skating (but that would be Winter Olympics)

The original Olympics featured non athletic events like Poetry Contests & perhaps ponies would also have stuff like sand sculpture.

They've got the magical abilities to have Quidditch teams.

 

As to Medal Counts, seems likely.  However, it would be on a national level & Ponyville's would be included in the total.
