ponytheorist 181 December 27, 2014 Share December 27, 2014 Looks like some pony here has never had a little sister or been a little girl themselves. In fact, I do have a little sister myself. You misunderstood the point I tried to make: Sweetie Belle is in my opinion way further in intelligence then most people give her credit for. And for someone who's that far with thinking that she makes a own play, doing something so petty seems out of character for someone on that level of intelligence already I might be completely wrong here, in fact, a lot of you have already pointed out that I'm wrong, but when I wrote the first post, this is the point I was trying to make. Anyway, they painted Sweetie Belle way to mean and uncaring that I can see why people would dislike the episode
Sunny Fox 5,961 January 13, 2015 Share January 13, 2015 I think the idea is that we're not meant to like Sweetie Belle and what she does. We're meant to understand her. And the whole tries-to-get-revenge-for-an-imagined-slight isn't restricted to young characters. Her intelligence is beside the point, she's reacting out of emotion. Happy minion of The Fabulous One! Dulset Tarn 441 January 13, 2015 Share January 13, 2015 I didn't like it because it hardly made any sense. Why does Luna know what happened in the past outside of Sweetie's recollection? Was she just making it up? And I know this is just my opinion, but when the internal conflict is resolved halfway through the story, it usually tends to completely devalue the external conflict. Why do I need to watch the CMC be silly for ten more minutes when Sweetie already learned her lesson? Just get to the resolution already.
RainbowTashie 379 January 16, 2015 Share January 16, 2015 Sweetie Belle isn't insane, she's just incredibly immature. She's a young girl, and while her actions are not justified they're certainly relatable. That's kind of the whole point. The story is supposed to be like a Christmas Carol with Sweetie Belle in the place of Ebenezer Scrooge and Luna as Marley's ghost. Her actions are supposed to be detestable which is why we need Luna to intervene and show her what will happen if she continues down this path. And I think you're seriously underestating children if you think they can't handle some cobwebs and Rarity going crazy. There have been things much more scary in this show like the Changelings. i get both of you i kinda like the adult themes it justifys even more the reason why you are watching this show and sweetie belle was full on crazy! and super mean i might add but i guess we have all been selfish little fillies Sig tweaked to perfection by Coby!
