Name: Silver Shield Gender: Male Type: Unicorn Cutiemark: A shiny silver kite shield Cutiemark Backstory: Silver's cutie mark represents his talent for using magical shields, or magic in general for defending other ponies from harm. Backstory: Silver is a member of Celestia's Royal Guard, and specializes in shielding spells. Whether they are full force fields like the one used to defend Canterlot during the Royal Wedding (though usually not of that size), or just an invisible wall of force, he has made it his duty to defend the ponies of Equestria from any threat that may appear. Silver is not a pony that one would describe as 'fun'. He is not often funny, either. He is serious, and he takes his job seriously, and devotes as much of his life to it as possible. One of the few ponies who can get him to make extensive conversation or smile at all is Princess Celestia. When he does make a joke, his sense of humor is dry and barely detectable, and he often uses subtle irony in an entirely serious tone that goes over the heads of many ponies. Abilities: Magical proficiency. He knows many combat spells, but specializes in shielding ones. He rarely uses anything other than shields and other basic, everyday magic, unless absolutely neccesary. He is not as physically strong as the other guards, and only slightly stronger than the average pony. Additionally, he is smaller than the average guard. However, he is very intelligent. Favourite Princess: Celestia Race: Unicorn Full Name: Silver Shield Hobby(ies): Defending ponies from threats. If there are no threats...well, usually he is at a loss. If there is nothing for him to do, often one can find him wandering the castle in a deserted corridor or standing idly in the throne room, often conversing with Celestia if she is available. Physical Description: Silver is a stallion with a snow-white mane and tail, and a light grey coat. His eyes are bright green. He is about the size of one of the mane 6 in terms of body mass. Shadowknight- http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/shadowknight-r6901 Sunmane- http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/sunmane-r6899 Blackheart- http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/blackheart-r7532 Favorite Princesses: Shadowknight and Blackheart's would probably be Luna while Sunmane is obviously a Celestia supporter Abilities- Shadowknight- Can create clouds of shadows with his wings, has some magical power, has darkvision, and well that basically sums it all up. His weakness balances this all out which is great weakness to bright light both natural and magical. Basically drops him down to about 10-20% of his full power. Also a really good fighter despite his debilitating weakness. Sunmane - Herbalist and animal caretaker. He specializes in making only positive potions and poultices meaning he doesn't dabble in poisons unless it is to research a cure for it. He also has a knack for dealing with animals. Blackheart - Experienced Swordspony, and acrobatic. Very good at blindfighting. He also has some talents when it comes to history given his job. He knows many different languages and lore and can be very useful in diplomatic situations. Hobbies - Shadowknight - Tends to wander on his own, try to gain some control of his magic, not much really. He is a deep thinker and tends to shy away from other ponies. Sunmane - He has a job which is like his hobby which is basically creating helpful potions and taking care of animals. He is better at dealing with plants though. Blackheart - Not much time for a hobby, but he does have a lovely singing voice and knows many old, long forgotten songs. Though he doesn't really sing in public given his shyness.
