camsterman101 159 December 31, 2014 Share December 31, 2014 Alright, So we all have that place in our local area that has outrageous prices on food because it is fancy, I use that term lightly, as i went to a restaurant recently and I had a meal that cost around 43$, it did not taste any better then a mean that i had at Friendly's awhile ago. Now, Another point. The more you pay for food, the less you get, that is how it seems to work (in my eyes) It is all going to the same place, and some of it does not taste very good, sometimes is seems like some of the chefs try to make the food look better then it tastes, like "Guys that defeats the perpose of food!" So, do you all agree with me, or do you disagree? Throw an answer below! Thanks!
Megas 27,630 December 31, 2014 Share December 31, 2014 Depends on what kind of food you're into. Just this weekend, my, my dad and my brothers took an hour long trip to San Diego to try Phil's BBQ and we all agreed that it was worth the trip. On the other hand, I'd rather eat at McDonalds than Red Lobster, but that's because I don't like seafood
Ziltoid the Omniscient 286 December 31, 2014 Share December 31, 2014 (edited) Food is meant to be eaten. It isnt a visual piece of art to me. I'd rather spend cheap and eat a whole lot than to spend copius amounts for something that wouldnt even satisfy my turtle. I don't go to a restaurant for 'the atmosphere' I go there to be fed. TheDashingRainbow 134 December 31, 2014 Share December 31, 2014 I personally don't think so. As long as it's food.. I'll eat it. I don't see a reason to spend more money on 'better' food.. especially when you don't get very much of it.. 1 -----Want to be 20% Cooler?-----
DubWolf 17,263 December 31, 2014 Share December 31, 2014 Why of course! At least for me. I'll always spend less on a lot of things, but end up "compensating" by spending more on food . Sig by Wolf, Handwriting by SparklingSwirls
GenderIsAnIllusion 2,177 December 31, 2014 Share December 31, 2014 Sometimes it's worth trying... Like when I had escargot at a nice french restraunt as an appetizer.... 'Twas delicious... And other times it's not.... A steak is a steak... I don't want my steak to be dressed better than I am... I just want it to be medium rare, well seasoned, and served with a baked potato. DrReprise 172 December 31, 2014 Share December 31, 2014 I feel like fancy food is nice to have from time to time, especially things you may not have had before. I wouldn't spend money on or eat fancy food often though. I love me my comfort food! "Music is the universal language of mankind." - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow Avatar commissioned by the amazing . LeafFerret 3,382 December 31, 2014 Share December 31, 2014 I like to eat fancy food although I rarely eat it by myself because it is expensive. Sig by Kyoshi.
Moonlight 7,286 December 31, 2014 Share December 31, 2014 (edited) The more expensive something is, the better it more than likely tastes, in most cases of course. I enjoy visual presentation in food because why would I eat something that makes me want to be sick? Taste is obviously important as well but most 5-star restaurants seem to focus on visuals. catnet 9,356 December 31, 2014 Share December 31, 2014 I personally don't really notice much difference in the quality of food past the stage where I like it, so I'd probably enjoy an expensive meal just as much (or close enough) as its cheaper alternative. Food is food. :/
