So I'm sure we've all read some fanfic, as you'll have seen it can be super duper awesome buuuut then there are others which aren't... I'm just curious on your opinions on some fanmade videos/fanfic? Like which ones would you recommend and are there any you'd advise avoiding? This isn't to insult any pony's fanfic! I mean no disrespect to someponys efforts or dedication to makes these videos/stories, this is all opinions, for instance I really don't like the Bride of Discord series but I respect the makers for their dedication. But I'm looking to find some new fan made stuff to admire, any suggestions? Hope this wasn't too rambly! And I also hope you all have a super awesome day! Hmm... Blue Moon 6,341 January 4, 2015 Share January 4, 2015 I'd highly recommend Past Sins, Winter Bells, The Cold Hand of Mercy, No Good Answers, On a Cross and Arrow, Social Standards, Rainbow Factory, and My Little Dashie if you haven't done so already. As for ones to avoid, all I can think of is Sweet Apple Massacre which relies solely on shock value, and is not well-written. I can't think of anything else right now. Be careful if that's a problem For stuff that is G or PG rated, I'd go w "Naked Lunch" (Griffon opens butcher shop in Canterlot), "History Repeats Itself", (An older Megan (suffering PTSD) returns to help Mane 6 w old enemy), "My Little Balladeer" (Great for fans of "John the Balladeer" Still OK, if not fans of Wellman) "Junior Flight Camp: The Crusader And The Bullhead" (Dash & Twilight are councilors at camp & help Scootaloo learn to fly. 2 Plot critical head canons. I buy the 1st one, I but don't know enough Martial Arts to know if the 2nd is good or not) "Secret Life of Rarity" (Rarity is secretly a serial killer. This is what "Cupcakes" should have been & wasn't) Rated R for extreme violence & torture. Ending is a bit weak & I would like to see a sequel. As to Blue Moons recommendations I've read "On a Cross and Arrow" & seen the "My Little Dashie" video. Both excellent.
