movies/tv Should Disney XD be rebranded?

Currently, the vast majority of Disney XD's schedule is animation. Which begs the question, what the hell was the point in changing it to a boys channel to begin with? With Star premiering on XD, do you feel the channel should be re-branded into just an all animation channel for kids and adults ala old CN and the new Boomerang? I feel that Disney is going to do this at some point as they've been trying to turn XD into their flagship animation network for a while now.

I totally agree with you. ALthough there are some shows that have actors/actresses like "Kickin it" and "Lab Rats." I haven't watched XD recently so maybe they took those shows off. (Hate all Disney shows like that..)

They're still on the channel, but unlike on Disney Channel, the live action stuff isn't overplayed, so it isn't a big deal.

It would be a good idea to do so. I never approved of their "one channel for the boys, one channel for the girls" business model, and a show like Star seems to be crossing that line. It's clear that Disney's better programming is on XD while Disney Channel gets the better distribution, being the main channel. It would be best for Disney to create new brands and better integrate the two channels.

Well, part of the reason XD was created was because Jetix was infecting Toon Disney like a virus. Thus, Disney saw no point in keeping the channel Toon Disney when there was hardly any Toon Disney on the channel in its later years.

I miss the old Disney channel from the early 90's/late 80's that was geared towards all members of the family instead of a single age group or gender. Here's a link to show what the Disney channel used to be like:
