Silvia Silverstring trotted peacefully along, humming a joyful tune. She'd gone on a walk to escape from the city and go see nature, and somehow ended up arriving at Ponyville. She wasn't sure how, but she just went with it. Maybe she could finally see the Princess Twilight her cousin wouldn't stop talking about. She smiled at anypony who looked her way, swishing her tail to the music inside her mind. Suddenly, she spotted another pony with a musical cutie mark. Always one looking for new friends, she trotted up to her and struck conversation. "Hi! Nice cutiemark you got there. I love music too." She smiled, awaiting a response.

Sweet Symphony had been living in Ponyville for a few months. She loved how peaceful and friendly the town was - well, most of the time. 
Usually, she just sang in the park, but she did have a casual job at Sugarcube Corner - her talent was singing, but her mother was a baker and she knew how to bake most basic pastries. 
Today, though, she had no work to be done. Just a relaxing day singing to the birds again. 
On her way to the park, a mare approached her, striking up a conversation.
"Er, thanks!" she said, returning the smile. "I'm Sweet Symphony. My special talent is singing. What's your name?"

Silvia gasped. "Oh my gosh, no way! Mine is singing too!!" She danced in place on the tips of her hooves, like Pinkie Pie would've done if she were excited. She took a deep breath, calming down, and whipped her mane in the wind, striking a dramatic pose, staring intensely into the distance. "The name's Silvia. Silvia Silverstring." She turned back to the newly-met mare with the same warm, friendly expression she'd worn earlier. "We should sing a duet sometime." She flashed a smile. "Oh! I don't come to Ponyville often. What do ponies like you do here for fun?" she asked, tilting her head with curiosity and smiling with interest.
