It doesn't notify me when I get quoted by someone, I already checked the "Notification options" it says that I am supposed to get notified, but they still don't work '~'

All notifications seem to work fine for me. Can you please check if any emails from support@mlpforums.com have landed in your spam folder?

I no longer receive quote notifications when I am quoted in a thread I am following. I just receive the "[someone] posted in [thread name]" notification. Not sure if that is a bug or not.

This is actually a bug on the site's software, it was unreported until I submitted a ticket on my website a few weeks ago.

 

The official response was that if you are subscribed to the thread, the notification for the thread response overrules the notification of the quoted message, so the second one is not sent.

 

While that is their official explanation, I still get the bug occasionally even on topics I am not subscribed to.

I have noticed for about a week now that I don't always receive a notification when one of my posts is qouted. I discovered this when I received a brohoof for a post, went to check out the thread, then discovered that the same user had also qouted my post. This concerned me because I had never receieved any sort of notification that I had been qouted.

 

I don't get email notifications, but I checked my options to see if I perhaps had accidentally disabled that option. Upon investigating I found I had not disabled the feature, so I am left sort of stumped. :/

I've noticed that sometimes happens to me to... But very rarely.

 

I don't use email notifications, I do however use the normal insite notifications.

 

I've heard that the MLPforums chrome extension can cause issues like this...are you using it?

I receive email notifications for my quoted posts and to the extent of my knowledge, it has never failed. In the situation that it does with regular notifications (which quite frankly, I have found to be quite unreliable in other areas in the past) it would be a fault with IP.Board.
