Do you take constructive criticism?

I don't want to insult you or anything, so here's my thoughts in a spoiler:

 

I'm sorry if a lot of this does not make sense; I am very tired right now at the time of writing this.

I'm not used to the hard rock genre, so sorry if I get some parts wrong that are specific to the genre.

 

First of all, in my opinion I think you should work on the background music; it sounds a bit "generic" for lack of a better word.

Try some chords out, maybe work on the chorus a bit.

 

Second, I believe this is part of the genre, but I'm a bit confused what you are trying to go for with the singer.

It sounds a bit like you have a lot of gliss in your song, which isn't a bad thing; however, it seems a bit poorly executed.

I've also noticed the way your singer is singing that it sounds a bit "careless", again for lack of a better word.

It doesn't sound like you're using much vocal technique to me, but this is probably just part of the hard rock genre.

 

Again, I am sorry if I insulted you with these comments, these are just my opinions and I am not used to hard rock.

You know your music best, but this is just my two cents.

thanks for the constructive critcism. nowadays i just do symphonic rock instrumentals based on certain events in the show. any feedback is welcome by the way.

I can definitely tell that you have improved

 

It's a good piece and although it may not be the greatest piece out there, it's still really nice in my opinion.
