Adult Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon

It was displayed on Equestria Daily lately so I decided to post these two here as well.

Decent! The colours are pleasing to the eye and the poses of both ponies give off personality. I didn't realise that they were adults, however. Both their manes are a little longer, sure, but even that is easy to miss. 

 

Personally, I'd recommend changing the style of both ponies' manes. Perhaps make DT's curlier and longer a la Fluttershy's mane, and make Silver's mane curlier. Replacing her plat for loose hair could also work too, I guess.

 

But that's all my opinion. Whatever you do to their manes or not is fine by me. Keep up the good work, by the way. :3

I especially like Diamond Tiara's saddle. It always amuses me when ponies wear saddles — who are they wearing them for? The only time you ever see a character riding a pony is when Twilight gives Spike a lift, and he never seems to use a saddle.

 

Amethyst Star is still best saddle-wearer.

Never seen in show... but -  For carryng small foals? Like Pipsqueak-aged, who are too big for baby-carriers like Ms Cake uses for her foals and too young and small for troting long distances?

Many of the characters seen wearing saddles don't have foals though. Twilight has a very cute little woolly saddle in Winter Wrap-Up's opening scene, but later on it the episode, when she's giving Spike a lift, she no longer has it. Saddles mostly seem to be shown at formal occasions — a number of ponies wear them at the Grand Galloping Gala.

I thought that primally they used saddles for carrying someone and very likely those was their own foals. Later, like in these pictures, they used saddles like adornments. Like men's tie - at medieval was it for sweep up the hands, now its just a adornment.

Saddles seem to be solely a fashion statement. Since I can only remember mares wearing them, the closest comparison would be that saddles are the pony equivalent to skirts. 

 

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree @@Odyssey as well since there isn't a lot to indicate they're older. Yes, they look taller, but that could just be the angle at which they're drawn at.
