RainbowTashie 378 March 12, 2015 Share March 12, 2015 Thinking of starting to draw mlp properly but can never get the proportion right. Anypony got any good links/references images? ConcorDisparate 385 March 12, 2015 Share March 12, 2015 What do you use to draw ? I don't have many links about proportions, I still have that, though: http://affinitypony.deviantart.com/art/The-Pony-Drawing-Guide-for-Everypony-2nd-Ed-441975093 If you want some references, there are a lot of them on dA . Anyway, to get it right, you need to train, no other way around. Signature made by Pucksterv

ManeStay 236 March 13, 2015 Share March 13, 2015 The Elements of Harmony official guidebook might be helpful with this. It has definitive images and even concept art from the show. That might be helpful for references.
Foliha 395 March 15, 2015 Share March 15, 2015 I have problems with this too - but mostly because I like a more horsey-looking pony. I love the show and it's artwork, but it does veer into "Bambi territory" at times. So my ponies tend to look a bit more like real horses. I will work on creating more show-accurate ponies, but will probably keep doing the other kind too...
