He obviously care for at least Fluttershy and now even Twilight. However he is far from reformed and doesn't really care about other ponies and if they going to get crushed by vines or drown after evil beavers build their dam. I think he have still a lesson to learn and Jim Miller already gave a confirming response after someone ponit out that he is fully refomred af6ter S4 finale. He wrote "IS he fully reformed? ;)"
